Blend of the Bayou

Submitted by: Ruby Williams
My sister-in-law shared this recipe when I first moved to Louisiana. It's been handed down in my husband's family for generations. It's quick to prepare, nutritious and beautiful. I've passed it on to my children, too.--Ruby Williams, Bogalusa, Louisiana

This is an absolutely FANTASTIC brunch recipe. I typically serve it when family is visiting for the holidays as the majority is prepared the night before. Everyone loves it and ALWAYS wants the recipe!

My Australian husband first made these burgers a few weeks after arriving in the USA. They became a hit with our family. They're a bit messy but delicious. Hunger busting burgers topped with every topping imaginable. Wrap your laughing gear around that. Stretch! Crikey! It's a meal in one go.

Talk of the Town SUPERBurgers

I threw this recipe together one day for a family cookout. Everyone went crazy over them, so I sat down and wrote down the ingredients. Two kinds of chips, jalapenos and Cajun seasoning is just the beginning of what goes into these burgers. Everything listed will be a round about measurement. These burgers are so good, you CAN NOT eat just one!!!

My grandmother used this recipe at her summer resort. Preparation of vegetables is very important. All vegetables should be thinly shaved with large knife. She used to cook these burgers and people would come from miles to eat at her kitchen and then go fishing.
