This isn't real fudge....I call it cheater fudge. It's so good! Just be sure not to over cook the chocolate when you are melting it. Even if you did it in a double boiler, that would work fine! I used an 11x17 pan and the fudge was thin, but will probably use a bit smaller of a pan next time. Also, I pressed some crushed candy canes into the top before cooling and that was nice, too!

This is a good fudge but not like the fudge my Mom made.

While I appreciate the simplicity of this recipe, I don't think I will use it again. The melting of the chocolate was awkward (it's always much easier with more "liquid" in it) and pouring the thick chocolate into the sweetened condensed milk caused it to be really thick and sticky too fast. I'm more likely to use a plane chocolate fudge recipe and simply add peppermint extract next time.

This was tasty! It was a little bit hard for fudge, but it had a great flavor! We added chocolate peppermint candies on the top. Thanks for the yummy recipe.

WOW and YUM! I have a small glitch with melting the chocolate, but the result was wonderful! Thick, smooth and chocolatey! I followed the recipe and added crushed candy cane to the top for a holiday treat. My hubby gave it 2 thumbs up.

The whole family enjoyed the fudge. I didn't have peppermint extract so I crushed up 2 peppermints. This worked but next time I would put 3 or 4 in. I only used 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate instead of 2. This worked fine too.

I didn't have peppermint extract on hand but I used a handful of peppermint patties and it did the trick. Super yummy fudge! I had some problems getting the consistency right, but other than that it is tasty!
