it was really good. My husband said it smelled great and it tasted great. I got lazy and left out the salt but that was a big NO NO i had to sprinkle some on once it was on my plate. It is very healthy especially if you use whole wheat/grain pasta.

I used 6 cloves of garlic and ~1 cup of chopped onion. I added 2-3 tablespoons of crushed tomatoes for more body. I did end up having to add a pinch of salt and sugar to balance out all the flavours. The sauce was wonderfully light and fragrant - but the chicken was really bland. Next time, I will marinate the chicken breast in Italian dressing and grill it. I also thought it could use more fresh basil. A great base recipe and I appreciate how easy it was to modify ingredients to my taste without screwing up the recipe. Thank you :-)

I love this recipe with a few minor tweaks. First of all I use a whole onion and second I use more like 6 cloves of garlic (we love garlic). Third and finally the recipe called for cooked chicken. I cooked my chicken with a little olive oil, pinch of onion, tomato, garlic and Itallian seasoning. Since I cut a whole onion I have plenty to use. This gives GREAT flavor to the whole recipe otherwise you feel like the dish is great but the chicken could have been better.

Used Linguine noodles instead of angel hair in a pinch. The basil chicken came out fantastic. Waiting for wife's reaction.

Good light recipe. I cooked the cubed chicken in a pan with the olive oil and garlic before adding onions. I used six garlic cloves, which gave the chicken a great flavor. I also used more basil than recipe called for. Salt an pepper to taste.

Great dish! The only substitute for me was using my own canned crushed tomatoes which were pre-seasoned with garlic, basil and pesto.

This was absolutely wonderful! Only thing I added was a bit of prepared pesto, but I think it would be delicious just as is too. Entire family raved....thanks for such a super-duper recipe!

The only thing I changed was to add a little bit more tomato paste...and that was just because I already had an open can in the fridge and wanted to use it up. Otherwise, I followed the recipe...and it came out perfect. Very tasty.

Very, very good! I didn't have fresh tomatoes, so I used a can of diced tomatoes. Also, I used red pepper flakes instead of the hot sauce it added the perfect little kick. This has been added to my regular recipe rotation!

We really liked this dish! Can't give it a 5 star because I had to tweak it a bit. I used fresh roma tomatoes and added a fresh sweet banana pepper to the onions and garlic. I left out the hot sauce and substituted Nu-salt for the salt (need low sodium dishes). This will be on the "keeper" list!

Delicious! I'm always looking for ways to stretch chicken, and I've found that chunking it and then throwing it over pasta is a good way to do that. This recipe is so easy and so yummy, everybody in my family loved it. I did use 2 cans of Italian seasoned diced tomatoes, semi-draining both. I also added a dash or two of red pepper flakes. Served with a salad and we had a yummy, healthy meal that the whole family enjoyed. Thanks for sharing!
