Basic White Sauce

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash white pepper
  • 1 cup milk

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Gradually whisk in the milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Use immediately or refrigerate.

Very simple,easy amnd tastes great! I used it with the Broccoli Ham Bake on this site! Yummy!
