Basic Sauce for Pasta

This is a basic mild pasta sauce my mother made for years and is still a family favorite. You can add browned ground beef, mushrooms, grated carrots, zucchini or other veggies. We especially like mushrooms or ground beef. It's easy and quick but as with most things like this, the longer and slower it simmers the better it tastes.

It just takes a few minutes to make wonderful, homemade noodles. All you need is flour, egg and a pinch of salt. What a tasty addition to fresh chicken soup!

Real old fashioned homemade pasta. The salt, baking powder and butter are optional. Also, try substituting 1/2 cup milk or 3 beaten eggs for the warm water.
