This is not technically a marinade - it's called "brining" and can be done with a Thanksgiving turkey as well.

This is a nice recipe. I added 1 1/2 tablespoons of garlic powder to this. I didn't even boil it and marinaded it for only 1 hour and it was delicious. Next time I make it, I'll boil it first and see how it comes out!! It may be basic as far as ingredients, but it is more than basic with its flavor!

I left out the poultry seasoning and used this on boneless pork chops that I had cut in half. Took them to a cookout and everyone loved them, going back for one (or two!) more. Thanks! It made the meat very tender and flavorful. I marinated for about six hours.

This is GREAT. I didn't have enough white vinegar so I had to use 1/2 white and 1/2 balsamic. YUM. The chicken was so moist and came right off the bone. I used thighs and cooked them for 1 1/2 hours on the grill at 250. I'm making them again tonight for a birthday party cookout for my husband. Finger lick'in good!!!

This was excellent. I just made it for some friends who came over to grill out. They all liked it a lot. I wasn't sure of making something that wasn't rated for friends without ever trying it, but it seemed like it would work from reading the recipe and it did! I was very pleased and would easily make this again. I didn't get to marinate it as long as the recipe asked for and still, the flavor came out. It kind of gets a carmelized glaze on the grill. Very nummy!
