Growing up, my Mom used to make barbecued beef in the crock pot and it always tasted so good. It's definitely comfort food for me. After I got out on my own, I was determined to make barbecue beef just like hers, so I tried lots of recipes and finally came up with one of my own. I was so pleased! I called her to tell her and she laughed. She had always just used a bottle of barbecue sauce! We still laugh about that and now I've had to give her my recipe! HA!

Although my cooking experience is limited, I can prepare these sandwiches successfully every time. My grandma's recipe has been in the family for years. --Pat Lemmer, Greenville, Ohio

With only three ingredients, you can assemble these sandwiches in short order, our food staff confirms. Use store-bought barbecue sauce to flavor your leftover beef it you like. (This recipe works fine with deli roast beef, too.)

This recipe couldn't be much easier. Simply combine all ingredients and cook for 3 hours, then shred the meat. Serve it on buns of your choice...and then sit back and take in the compliments!

An impromptu picnic inspired me to put together this dressed-up chicken salad sandwich. The sauce gives leftover poultry a scrumptious punch. An instant summertime favorite, these sandwiches have become a mainstay at our house.
