I made these one week ago wtih spare ribs as called for in the recipe, and they were really good, but didn't love the spare rib part of it. I made them again this weekend with baby back ribs and they were amazing!!! I may have used slightly less rum due to quantity on hand, and I did use Denise's dry rub on this site before baking, but everything else just as called for in recipe. They taste like they were professionally cooked at a restaurant. My new favorite rib recipe!!

used baby back spare ribs and cooked it as suggested - double foiled in the oven. marinaded it overnite and due to the wind storm had to bake it in the oven @ 350 degrees for 40 minutes (cooked it 15 minutes with foil, then basted and removed foil, cooked for another 15 and basted, then another 10 minutes) then broiled for 3 minutes. the ribs were excellent. not dry or tough at all. fantastic recipe!! thanks!

Pretty tasty!! I am definatly going to try this recipe again, I only let the ribs sit for one hour, and I don't think they set up quite right. So I would definatly reccomend overnight!

this is a great recipe! I have used this recipe for thanksgiving potluck party and other gatherings! Everyone loved it. My boyfriend especially! I have boiled the ribs in water for about 15 to 20 minutes (i put it to med to low heat just don't want the texture to become too rough). I have also tried the method of not boiling the ribs before seasoning. (I think it is more tender but less juicy). Next, then I followed the ingredients in the recipe to seasoned it for over night. I personally think it just taste better the long you marinate. Baked in preheated oven at 350F for 1 hr and 45 minutes. At the last 15 minutes, I took the ribs out and add a generous layer of honey on top and put it back in the oven to allow the honey to caramelize! Vola! don't forget to eat it with your fingers! makes it taste extra tasty!

Great ribs! I was a little skeptical as I was making the sauce but in the end they turned out great. I finished them off in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes instead of the grill. Really good recipe!

I used the Dry Rub for Ribs from this site as others did before baking. This recipe was great and pretty easy to make. I did not have dry mustard so I used the mustard I had in the bottle. I did not have chili sauce so I made some out of 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/2 tsp Chiptole Chile Powder and 1/2 tsp Ground Cayenne Red Pepper, it had a nice little kick you could use less if you wanted. It was 1/2 cup which was alot so I decided to make my own instead of skipping it. Other than that I followed the instructions. Grilling is the only way to go if you have a grill. I made two batches one for last night and then I put the rest in ziploc bags to marinate overnight.

TRY ADDING MALIBU (coconut flavored white rum) not rum, the taste is amazing! The original recipe is v.good and tasty, but the malibu gives it another dimension.

I left out the rum, the ribs were still phenomenal. I also boiled the ribs the day before I needed them. The next day, I microwaved the mixture for about 3 minutes , then cut the ribs apart and placed them (all together) on cookie sheet length double-thick aluminum foil, poured the sauce over them and folded over the top of the coated ribs like a present, threw them on the grill for about 25 minutes at med/hi setting.. I need to make more next time.

Didn't think it was going to be good because I thought the smell of the sauce was bad but after cooking in my slow cooker half the day, when I ate it it was amazing. It was so good! Thank you.

Yummy! This was fantastic. I was baking it at the same time as a cheesecake so I baked it at 325 for 1:30 and then rested it and cooked it. I also re-heated the sauce (after boiling) with the meat. It's fantastic to dip the ribs in! AMAZING recipe!

Great easy recipe! We did not put them on the grill for the second cooking, but we cooked them in a jelly roll pan with tin foil underneath the ribs at 350 for like 30 minutes and they were tender, and absolutey wonderful! I have to send my friend the recipe right now!
