You can be very creative with these. I added a lot of bbq sauce, corn, chopped onion and green pepper, and some spices. Next time, I will give it even more flavor. I wouldn't use the larger biscuits. They don't leave much room for the meat. I agree with some of the other reviews. You could modify this recipe to any style - pizza cups (meat, cheese, pizza sauce), breakfast (egg, cheese, bacon); buffalo chicken (shredded chicken, hot sauce mixed with cream cheese and ranch); even dessert (replace biscuits with cinnamon roll dough and add apple pie filling)

I used shredded chicken instead of beef and honey BBq Sweet Baby Rays. I got rave reviews and give it back because it was so easy.

My family enjoyed this recipe. My two-year old took a bite and said, "mmm... good..." :) We had to bake it a little longer than 15 minutes, but it came out perfectly golden brown. In the future, I'd like to try it with more veggies mixed in and a more tomato-y sauce. We used the Grand flakey biscuits and they came out fine. I do wonder though, if I could use just half of a biscuit as a shell -- will it still hold up? I'll try next time and post my results.

I did a "pizza" version of this recipe. I added pizza sauce, chopped pepperonis and chopped mushrooms and mozzarella cheese on top. Very addicting!

I made these for a Christmas party, but I used barbecue shredded beef instead of the ground beef. They went over so well that I didn't even get to try them until I made them again the next week. I found that the Grands Homestyle (I think that's what they are called - NOT the flaky kind) worked the best for me. I will surely make them again.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good these are. They're quick and easy, which makes them great for a weeknight meal. I didn't have any dried onion, so I just seasoned the beef with onion and garlic powder. I wasn't sure if the baby would like them, but he devoured the one we gave him.

I make these every once and a while. The kids like that it's a handheld dinner. I throw in a couple handfuls of matchstick carrots for added fiber/vegetables.

This was very quick, easy, and yummy. My husband thought it was awesome. He even told me I could put it on the list of returning recipes. :) I wouldn't change a thing, however, keep in mind that these do not work so well as leftovers (in my opinion) due to the buscuit dough becoming quite hard. They are super easy to prepare though, and quick to cook so you could even have them all ready to pop in the oven as appetizers for a party. The plus is that you can use your own preference of BBQ sauce which makes it your own yummy flavor.

I made these for a picnic, which is perfect to serve at room temperature or better just out of the oven. I made a few changes though. I used 1 lb. of ground beef, I used 3/4 cup of bbq sauce, and I let this mixture simmer for 15 minutes to really meld those flavors together. This is a very simple recipe and for anyone who likes a lot of sauce, I also serve a bowl of extra bbq sauce on the side.

Easy and good. After making them I think you would be able to add veggies to the beef. Peppers, tomato, corn, peas, etc. I used a whole pound of ground beef and was surprised it only filled 8 of my 10 biscuits. So will surely add some veggies to the beef next time. I also put a dollop of sour cream on top. Delicious!
