I made this exactly as the recipe stated. This was great. I even had to dip a few crackers into this sauce because it was so good. I cooked chicken legs and a couple of breasts in the oven for about 1/2 hour, then covered with this sauce, baked about 20 minutes more, turned the meat over and covered again. I am a child care provider and the kids really enjoyed this. I will make this again. The dash of hot pepper sauce added a yummy dimension to this sauce, no one said it was spicy. Good recipe. (by the way, I did not cook it on the stove, I made it up ahead of time and used it when I needed it).

I had made some pork shoulder roast in my crock pot and when I went looking for bar-b-que sauce I didn't have any. So of course the first thing I do is go here and search it. This is the best home made bar-b-que sauce I have ever tasted. We have done a few changes to suit different tastes. My kids like it with a touch of honey in it, and the hubby likes it with some molasses, dried onion flakes, and lots of black pepper.

Tasted good. I used up some leftover "Simple Carnitas" to mak BBQ pulled pork sandwiches. Served with Pam-3BoysMama's Zuquiche and mixed veggies.

As long as I have this recipe I won't be buying bottled again and there is so many things that can be added to this, if you are making a large meal I do suggest you double the recipe

This so easy that you never need to buy BBQ sauce from the store again. I always add a little liquid smoke just to give it that just BBQ'd flavor and it is great!

I put this on chicken and it was great. My husband suggested adding lemon juice, which we did. Great flavor on the chicken - I wasn't too crazy about the sauce by itself. I might add less garlic powder next time.

This is a good base recipe but is bland as is. I used 36oz of ketchup, half of a medium onion, 2 TBS brown sugar, 2 TBS worcestershire sauce, 4 cloves of fresh garlic, 2 TBS Cider vinegar, 3 TBS crushed red papper, 2 tsp mustard powder, and 3 TBS water, I put it all in a blender on liquify until it was smooth. It can be used as a marinade and as a basting sauce. I keep it in the fridge till I need it.

I doubled the recipe and still barely had enough for 2 people. (We liked it that much.) I will quadruple it times a million next time, BECAUSE it is one of my new favorite things. I made the recipe as is, and i'm 100% pleased with it. In the future i might add some cayenne or crushed red pepper cause i love it spicy.

Nice simple recipe. I didn't have cider vinegar so I used balsamic vinegar. I also used red pepper in place of mustard powder. Used as a chicken marinade for a couple of hours and cooked on the grill - very yummy. Next time I will double the recipe and save half to drizzle on when serving.
