Wonderful mixture of beans and sausage in a tomato sauce, slowly cooked and really tasty. Maureen had a Labor Day picnic for our block every year and always made these beans. Everyone always looked forward to having this sidedish with dinner.

Chili sauce is the secret ingredient in these beans baked with bacon, onion and brown sugar. This recipe can also be prepared in a slow cooker, if desired.

This tantalizing, multi-bean dish has onion, bacon, ketchup, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. It's great served steaming hot. Enjoy!

Baked beans made from scratch in the slow cooker. It takes a lot of time to cook, but not a lot of work. Use Yellow Eye beans if they are available in your area, and grade A amber maple syrup if you can.

A comforting bake of pork and beans gets sweet, tangy and smoky with a few simple amendments. Stir in some chopped onion, a dab of bacon grease, some brown sugar and a dollop of ketchup. Put strips of bacon over the top and pop it in the oven.

I doctor up canned baked beans with apple and brown sugar to make them sticky and sweet. This is the easiest recipe to make.
