DIRECTIONS
Cut chicken wings into three sections; discard wing tips. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. In a skillet over medium heat, combine 2 tablespoons butter and oil. Fry chicken until brown, about 6-8 minutes on each side. Place in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish. In a saucepan, combine taco sauce, barbecue sauce, French dressing, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce and remaining butter; cook and stir over medium heat until butter is melted and sauce is blended. Pour 1/2 cup over the chicken wings. Bake, uncovered, at 300 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until chicken juices run clear. Serve with the remaining sauce.

I thought this was such an odd list of ingredients but YUM this sauce is so good. I used 2 packages of Foster Farms party wings. For the taco sauce I used La Victoria Red Taco Sauce and Kraft Catalina dressing instead of French Dressing because it was what I had on hand. Since they are already fried in butter and oil I chose to only add 2 small pats of butter to the sauce instead of the large amount called for. I think it would have been fine without any butter at all but thought I'd add a bit to add some richness. I baked as directed and when I removed them from the oven I poured the remainder of the sauce over the wings instead of serving on the side. They were gobbled up.

These wings are great especially if you want a tasty wing without a lot of spicy heat.

When reviewing this recipe my husband and I decided not to use as much butter as was stated for the sauce, and it was an very good decision. We used half of the recommended amount, about 1/4 cup. Other than that, this was a delicious recipe and we are adding it to our recipe box.

I doubled this recipe---it was very good. Not just your average barbeque recipe. The taco sauce and french dressing really spiced things up without making them "spicey." My kids loved them but the flavor was complex enough that the adults loved them too.

I found this recipe last night and tried it a few hours later. They turned out AWSOME and they were very delicious. My Fiancee LOVED them and so did I. The sauce was an interesting combination of ingrediants but they work very well together. This is definately a recipe I will keep! Thanks!

I made these a few days ago and they were great! I did as other reviewers suggested and cooked down the sauce a bit on the stovetop first. Otherwise, a big hit, even with my 3-year-old.
