This is a recipe that I made for my nephew's barbecue cookout. I received praise from everyone, even my mother. She always claims that I add too much to my cooking. I showed her.

Maple and Ginger Baked Beans

Baked beans made from scratch in the slow cooker. It takes a lot of time to cook, but not a lot of work. Use Yellow Eye beans if they are available in your area, and grade A amber maple syrup if you can.

Not your usual baked beans! Green chiles and hot pepper sauce give zest to these eat-'em up sweet-and-hot baked beans.

Spicy Maple Baked Beans

BBQ comfort food. The chili powder gives the beans a nice zing, but the maple syrup smoothes out the flavors.

Cola Beans

This is a favorite at potlucks and barbeques! I've often wondered if I get invited for my company or my Cola Beans! I've tried several different brands of colas, but have found that the brand in the red can works best. I like to pre-cook the bacon about half-way so it doesn't make the beans too greasy, but it's not necessary. This recipe can also be cooked in a conventional oven at 350 degrees F for about 1 hour.

A delicious taste of homemade beans which can be served as a meal or as a side dish. Especially great for football Sundays, or frozen for a later occasion.

Maureen's Baked Beans

Wonderful mixture of beans and sausage in a tomato sauce, slowly cooked and really tasty. Maureen had a Labor Day picnic for our block every year and always made these beans. Everyone always looked forward to having this sidedish with dinner.

Sandy's Baked Beans

A comforting bake of pork and beans gets sweet, tangy and smoky with a few simple amendments. Stir in some chopped onion, a dab of bacon grease, some brown sugar and a dollop of ketchup. Put strips of bacon over the top and pop it in the oven.
