Great banana bread. We followed it pretty much to the letter, but made only two big loaves (so upped the temperature to 325F and baked 1 hour and 10 minuts) Was lovely!

This banana bread was fantastic! My entire family loved it - and the sugar/cinnamon coating on the crust is a great addition.

I actually "discovered" this recipe a few years back on the internet; and at first I thought the same thing, just another banana bread recipe! But, this has to be the most wonderful banana bread I have every tasted. I bake numerous loaves(mini and full sized) every holiday season for my family and gifts for coworkers - everyone adores this bread once they try it. I use mini-chocolate chips in some instead of nuts; absolutely grand. Thank you for a recipe that has become a family favorite.

Absolutely wonderful! Just love this bread with touch of cinnamon sugar baked around the bread. Will be making more of this, that's for sure.

We love this at my house! I actually throw a GOOD amount of cinnamon/sugar on the bottom of the fan. I love the way it tastes all around - not just the top of the loaf! :)

The best Banana Bread Recipe EVER! I had family over for 10 days and we went through two batches. I couldn't believe the 2 year old ate a whole 1/2 a loaf himself (that alone says a lot about how good it is). I actually put everything in the blender to make sure there was no chunks. Both times the loafs came out perfectly. YUM!

This recipe will be the one I use from now on. I added blueberries and did not put the cinnamon in and it turned out perfect!

Delicious! I halved the recipe, as I knew my husband and I could never eat that much bread. The bread was moist and yummy! My husband said he loved the cinnamon and sugar on the outside, which I am surprised he even noticed! It definitely gives it a special touch. Thank you Esther!!

oh my goodness. this is a banana bread for people who think they don't like banana bread. i made it with greek yogurt (an awesome and extremely healthy substitute for sour cream) and splenda, and you would never know it. I baked at 350 for 45 minutes and halved the recipe, and it came out just fine. can't wait to wow people with this one!

Yummy and moist as a good banana bread should be! If you don't have six bananas this will come out just as good. The smell permeated through the house drawing a little crowd in the kitchen ready to pounce the minute this came out of the oven. Nice toasted the next day with aaahhhh yes a bit more butter! Okay, I know the (AHA) American Heart Association won't advocate my little suggestion... It freezes well if you want to make this in advance.

Like others, I used applesauce instead of butter and used a little less than a cup of sugar, but I used 4 bananas instead of 3 to make up for the sweetness (for a half recipe). This was really, really good! The texture is amazing, it basically melts in your mouth. I will definitely make this again and I don't even really like banana bread! Also, I made mini muffins with part of the recipe and they were great, I baked them for about 15 minutes.

Always a major hit with my family. I add a cup of skor bits aswell which makes it a little trickier to get out of the pan, but also adds a sweet chewy taste that my boyfriend loves!

Made 6 servings to make a small 8 X 3 loaf pan. Replaced half the oil and sugar in batter with applesauce. Tasted great! Cooked for about 70 minutes.
