Great/easy recipe. This was the first time I ever made pancakes from scratch and all I really did was follow the recipe. I did use 2T of applesauce instead of the veg. oil. Also, I followed the advice to cook it on medium-low. Definitely took a little while but it made sure the center was fully cooked and there was no burning! Definitely making these again!

These pancakes are a great way to use those over ripe bananas lurking in your kitchen. I thought there was just enough banana flavor and they had the perfect fluffy texture!

I hate bananas but loved these! I used only one and a half bananas and sliced up the other half to put on the finished pancakes for those who actually like bananas. I also added a half tsp vanilla, will definitely be making these again!

These were good. I put 1 mashed banana in the batter and sliced the other banana and added to the tops of the pancakes once they were on the griddle. Husband says, "They were good, but they didn't blow my mind." I would agree, but will make them again some lazy Saturday morning.

i have never liked homemade pancakes...too much work for too little flavor/bad flavor...so i've always preferred the "just add water" type. i only tried this because i thought it'd be fun to make banana pancakes (other than my traditional slice bananas on top...). my entire family LOVED them. my husband is pretty picky when it comes to new foods, and he loved them too. thank you for this yummy recipe! we will use this again.

I liked these, my husband did not. The texture/weight reminded me of the center bite of a slice of french toast - a little chewy/soggy, but very tasty. Hubby prefers light & fluffy pancakes, and these were definitely not that. Good recipe though, I'll definitely make them again for myself!

I have never had banana pancakes before. I made this for the 1st time and added a little bit of cinnamon to it. They were so good! I omitted the oil and used nonstick spray and it worked wonders! So easy to flip them! I also used 3 very ripe medium bananas since that is what I had to use up. I cut down on the suger a tad bit. I cooked them on low with a lid on to be sure they cooked through. Kept them warm in the oven which also helped to cook it through. Thanks for the great recipe!

Oh My! These are soooo good! My kids ate them all in a matter of a few minutes. They even asked if I could make more that could heat up for breakfast during the week. My son, my resident coconut lover, even had me sprinkle some coconut in his. I just asked him what he thought, and he gave it a thumbs up !

Yum! I added 1/4 tsp of cinnamon and only 1.5 bananas because that's all I had. The whole family ate these up!

Pretty good pancakes. Make sure your bananas are super ripe. One note though- don't substitute applesauce for the fat in this recipe. Your pancakes will STICK like glue even in a non stick pan. So make sure to use oil or melted butter.

I never give a review less than 5 stars if I change anything. And I did substitute whole wheat flour, soy milk, and egg whites (because that's what I had on hand). I didn't have the mushiness problem, but I did add a little more soy milk to get a thinner consistency. The pancakes were absolutely beautiful. Next time, though, I will definitely add some vanilla and spices to add a little more flavour.

This recipe is perfect, in my opinion. The pancakes are fluffy and moist and oh-so-tasty! I resisted my urge to add a little vanilla, and they were still fantastic. This is definitely going in my permanent file. Thanks, addean1!

What a fantastic find!I love these pancakes. I made a couple of changes: pastry flour instead of AP because its all I had in the house, I used non-fat milk, I added about a TBSP of vanilla. I also blended all of the wet ingredients in my blender until smooth because I was afraid of raw centered pancakes others had commented on. This made delicious, crepe like pancakes. I will make this recipe again and again. Thanks for posting it!

The flavor was good but I had a tough time cooking them so that they wouldn't seem wet inside from the banana. I found that a medium low heat worked best but several pancakes in the experimental phase were mushy inside. Again, the flavor is good. Definitely 5 stars for flavor but I gave it 4 stars because these were flat and not fluffy. I even tried sifting the flour which is the usual requirement for fluffy pancakes.
