This recipe is so fast and easy!!! My friend was moving in and this was a quick housewarming gift for her. It makes two loaves. I added vanilla, nutmeg, and some cinnamon to make it have more of a spice cake taste and it was a hit!!! This recipe is a keeper!!

Made this for hubby since he likes bananas & I don't. He ate it all, but didn't give any rave reviews. Followed recipe as written.

Greatest taste! Easiest recipe! The secret that makes it easy is the --- shhhh- cake mix. I have made this countless times, always with rave reviews. I have used yellow cake mix, but also carrot, spice, butter pecan and pumpkin cake mix- all are great!!

Very easy to make. I added an additional egg, 1 tsp of vanilla, 1 tsp of cinnamon and some chocolate chips. It has the consistency of a cake, so add more bananas if you want a denser cake. I gave it four stars because it still can't stand up next to made from scratch banana nut bread, but of course that's the purpose of this easy to make recipe. Still great!!! Thank you!

Really good, I used butter pecan cake mix, an extra egg, and added 1/2 teaspoon each vanilla and cinnamon. I'll definitely make this recipe again, and may try a glaze on top next time.

This was one of the best and easiest Banana nut bread recipe I've ever made! I found this recipe only 5 days ago and have made it 4 times already because this is just so amazingly good! I used a yellow cake box mix and chopped pecans and added vanilla extract to 3 of the 4 loaves that I made and feel that the vanilla extract really helps the recipe have an added sweetness. But if you omit this, then the recipe will be a little less sweet and more bread like than cake- bread like. Love this recipe and will try this recipe again but with another cake mix flavor.

Well, this recipe didn't live up to my expectations after reading the reviews. To me it was just okay, I followed the recipe as written, and I thought it 1, needed more nuts, 2, wasn't banana-ish enough for my taste, just kinda boring, I gave it three stars because it is really simple and quick to make!

As everyone else said before my comments, this is an easy and wonderful recipe. I didn't have a yellow cake recipe either, so I used a lemon cake mix. I added lots of cinnamon, too! It made 6 mini loaves which baked in 30 minutes. Thanks for this wonderful recipe! I think I will keep making it with different flavored cake mixes for fun! :-)

This was very good - tastes just like the banana bread we had in the college cafeteria. I used a butter pecan cake mix and omitted the nuts; only had two bananas and I'm not sure how much that equates to. But it is delicious! I baked it all in one loaf pan (took a few more minutes than stated) and it fit perfectly - either I have a big loaf pan (which I don't think I do...) or others are just making smaller loaves.

This recipe won't take long to be one of ALLRECEIPES all time favorites!! This was a delicate, sweet quick bread. Using the cake mix does change the texture of this bread to more cake like. If you are looking for a dense bread, this is "not" it. I followed the recipe except for pan size. I never use a standard loaf pan so that I can share with the neighbors. I use 3 mini loaf pans and reduced tempeture to 325 for 35 minutes. I also sprinkled ground flaxseed on the top before baking. As a note, you can use ground flaxseed in place of the chopped nuts to cut a few calories!

I followed the recipe exactly, except I used a Butter Pecan cake mix since I didn't have a yellow one. It was incredible!!! I didn't have a great banana bread recipes before this, but I do now! This had a yummy quick bread texture, I would never know this started with a cake mix, it really tastes like I slaved over it. And my house smelled like heaven as it baked. This recipe is a total winner! Thankyou so much, I will be making this one for years to some!
