This drink was great!! I found it years ago in a Lifeskills textbook, and loved it then...so excited to find it again :) I always add 4 ice cubes to this drink to give it a better texture and colder temperature.

Fabulous as is, but the second time I made it I wanted a little bit of protein so replaced the sugar with 1 Tablespoon peanut butter and it was just as great!

Hmm, this was okay. Perhaps a more ripe banana would be better? It's basically a thicker, banana flavored milk. I guess if you grew up in tough times it'd be a treat. We were thinking that it'd be good to use with cereal instead of plain milk.

Tasty! I had a "banano con leche" (banana with milk) drink in Nicaragua, and this was the exact drink. YUM!

I used to make this on the weekends when I was a kid. A variation is to use a bit of maple syrup instead of the sugar. Yum!

Nice, quick snack. I actually used a french vanilla (sugar free) syrup and omitted the sugar/van extract.

I'm not a huge banana fan, but this was soo creamy and delicious! Sure, it is a little 'warm' for a smoothie-type drink, but that didn't really bother me. The cinnamon on top is a must. Try this, you won't be sorry!

It's funny. I always have quite a few frozen ripe bananas in the freezer just waiting for recipes like this. This one took me by surprize, because my Dad made a drink like this for my sister and I when we were little. I made it for my kids this morning, to go with the Egg Salad English Muffins I'd made for them (also from this site). They gulped it down, and I sat and thought about how I liked these just as much as I did when I was a kid. Only now, it tastes like a Banana Bread smoothie. Thank you for sharing this recipe. I'll be sure to make this often.

This is great! A nice way to use up a banana or two when they are just getting too ripe. You don't need as much sugar when they are that ripe either. Thanks for a great drink recipe.

This recipe is great for those times when your really hungry!!! It is very delicious but my only complaint was that it should be cold, so try putting it in the freezer for about 5 minutes. Then it will be perfect.
