Great recipe. I did as another rvwr suggested and substituted the butter with canola oil, 1/2 cup of the flour for wheat and 1/4 cup of the sugar for brown. Added 1/8 cup of wheat germ, a tsp of vanilla into the liquids, and a tsp of cinammon into the dry ingredients. Only had 2 ripe bananas out; the others were frozen so I nuke'd 1 for 40 seconds and it came right out of the peel, but was still formed...didn't do the crumb topping (I have 3 kids and they don't need the sugar)--these came out delicious and moist, perfect with my coffee, thank you!

This is a great recipe! You will not be disappointed. I too added cinnamon and vanilla to the muffin mixture. I followed the rest of the recipe exactly and turned out great!

Very good and easy to make. Added 1/2 a tsp of cinnamon to the batter and everyone liked them. They get a little soggy in storage though.

These are wonderful. I don't usually like to make muffins because they tend to come out lumpy and dense when I make them. These are light and fluffy. Don't skip the crumb topping. It makes the muffin. When I made the recipe I got a dozen good sized muffins out of it.

These were excellent! I made a few changes: 1/3 cup canola oil instead of the butter, added 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp cinnamon to the mixture. I used 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/4 cup brown sugar in the mixture instead of 3/4 cup white sugar. I also added some cinnamon to the crumb topping.

These are very very tasty muffins. Call me strange- but I didn't like the crumb topping. I'll be making these again, without the topping.

These are very sweet moist muffins. Mine made 9 BIG muffins. The only thing I would do different is not use all of the topping, instead sprinkle more sparingly.

My boyfriend isn't a sweets kinf od person, but when i made these, he requested them again. He is now happy when our bananas are too ripe, cause then i can make banana muffins. I have made these twice and both times i used 2 medium bananas instead of three. Both times it was what I had in the kitchen. They still come out fine. I use a different cumb topping recipe though: 3/4 stick unsalted butter, melted (about 6 tbs) 1/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/4 cup granulated sugar 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour this makes a lot, I usually freeze whatever I cannot finish and use it the next time i make this.

These turned out very tasty. I used 1/3 of oil instead of the butter. They came out big and fluffy. The crumb topping did not turn out well. But I would make this again.

Wanted to try this recipe but I had only 2 bananas so I substituted 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce for the 3rd banana and it turned out great. It had a mild banana flavor that I thought was better than if I'd have used 3 bananas. My husband doesn't like banana bread but thought these were very good.

I followed the ingredients and directions as written, expect I creamed the sugar and banana together in my mixer until liquid smooth. I also added chocolate chips. This recipe is perfect and so delicious. I'm going to take one and hide it from my family so I can have one with coffee tomorrow! It made 16 muffins for me. I filled them up half way, and they puffed up perfectly. Any more and I think they would have been too full
