i have two children under the age of five and they loved these muffins. I have made it many times since I found the recipe in this site...I have also passed on to my neighbors. The only change I made to the recipe are I used 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, 1/2 of nutmeg and 1 tsp of vanilla.

It was like having banana bread in muffin form. Not bad by any means, but not really different either.

Excellent!!! I followed the recipe almost exactly, I only added a little cinnamon to the batter. We love cinnamon. I may try some vanilla next time, but it is fine with out. This is excellent! Maybe I'll try it with applesauce next time instead of the butter for lower fat muffin.

Very soft and moist. The crumbs on top were the perfect addition! I loved grabbing one of these muffins on my way to work - wonderful breakfast food.

The first time I made these they were a little dry. I didn't mix the ingredients exactly as suggested and realized too late. I will try again and follow to the T, with hopes for moister muffins.

Great recipe!! I did add 1/4 cup brown sugar, along with some cinnamon and a touch of nutmeg to the batter. Also used oil instead of butter to add some moisture. Followed someone's review to use half white and half brown sugar in the crumb mix. I baked 48 muffins and brought to a church fellowship.... it went so fast that I felt bad for those who didn't get one! Will definitely make more next time. Thanks for the recipe!!!

Really good! I accidently added to much butter to the topping so I had to double it. The muffins were great with extra topping!

My 9 year old son and I made these. They turned out perfect. He wanted to eat them all. I did add 1 banana to my mix and it made 12 regular muffins that way.!!

These were delicious! I baked them just as the recipe called. The first time I made them I didn't feel like the top was as "crumby" as it should be. The second time, I followed another reviewer's advice and put the topping on with about 5 minutes of baking time left and they turned out much better.

I was impressed with how awesome they looked, then I ate one and wow! yum! So moist and delicious. I made a few changes based on reviews: canola oil instead of butter in the batter, add cinnamon and nutmeg to batter, extra cinnamon on top. Also added more banana. Will definitely make them again.

Delicious muffins...I added 1 cup of chocolate chips to my batch and it came out great. One issue: When making the crumb topping, mine came out extremely buttery and impossible to sprinkle on each cup. I suggest using a lot less butter. Otherwise, amazing muffins!

Delicious! I followed the recipe exactly, and they came out perfectly. The muffins were very moist, and the crumb topping was a great crunchy compliment. While other reviewers added spices to the batter, I think that the cinnamon in the crumb topping is just enough. 18 minutes was just enough cook time... much longer, and I think they would've been a bit too done. I used cooking spray with flour, which helped them come right out of the muffin tin. Highly recommended!
