Muffins were good. I did read several reviews before I tried them and the only thing I changed about the original recipe was that I added 1 tsp of vanilla. I even cooked them at 425 with no problems, they were done in just under 15 minutes.

Not moist enough for my taste, though my roommates liked how fluffy they were.

These were okay, I probably wont be making them again. They hardly tasted like banana and they were crunchy on the outside. THey were more like just plain chocolate chip muffins.

i changed alot, going by the other peoples reviews. they look great and rose well. But although i added more sugar and theres chocolate chips in them, they come off as "healthy" mufins.. and to me that doesnt mean the most tasty. for sure going to try adding banana again though, but to perhaps anouther chocolate chip recipe :) If i made them for me, they would be fine and i would have added ground flax seed, but i made them for the boyfriend since he needed some mufins for his snack at work, and i know he wont be that thrilled by these.

When I first made this recipe and saw how dry the dough was, I came back & read the reviews. I saw that people had added various things to the batter, so I added milk, vanilla, and applesauce. It still didn't help. They taste chalky and dry.

needs more sugar and i had to add more oil i read in another review they added milk.... that sound like a good idea as well, they did rise though and look good but just too bland in the taste department.

It was too dry, and I would recommend adding 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

I made these last night and they were good. The only thing I would add is a bit of milk (like 1/4 cup). The dough seemed too sticky if I didn't. Definately worth a try.

The consistency of the dough was just weird and the final product was the same. Just not for me.

This recipe was difficult to work with. The batter was extremely stiff, so I had to add 3/4cup of milk. Even then it was still very thick. Additionally, the muffins were not sweet at all. I recommend adding another 1/2 cup of sugar, if not going with another recipe altogether.

I just got done making these muffins, and they are AWFUL. What a waste of perfectly good over-ripe bananas :( I guess I should have read all the reviews first, then I wouldve known that the muffins BURN if you bake them for 15 minutes like is recommended in the recipe. Also, they just taste gross. Dry, baking powdery, not sweet enough. Like "add water" box mix or something. :/ I'm no major baker, so I don't come on here to mess & tweak with recipes. I want a good recipe the first time. My husband couldn't finish them, we couldn't even pawn them off on our kids!! VERY DISAPPOINTED.

This recipe is great! If you don't have time to mush bananas, just throw in a 2.5 oz jar of banana baby food.

This is my favorite way to use up brown bananas. I'm not a big fan of banana bread so the chocolate "disguises" the banana flavor. I substitute half unsweetened applesause for some of the oil to make it lower in fat and it turns out great!

These muffins are wonderful! The light and taste, the chocolate and banana are a great combination. My kids eat these up! The batter is very thick, but don't worry about it. I bake them without liners and the muffins brown more. You simply must try them to see for yourself.

This was my first time making muffins (just learning how to bake), and I didn't realize that you could read reviews of the recipes on allrecipes.com! I wish I had ;) When I finished preparing the mix, it was totally dry, seemed like I had missed an ingrediant, so I added about half a cup of milk. I baked them at 425, but lowered the temp after awhile b/c smelled like burning. In the end, they weren't great, but they're edible. And hey, they have chocolate chips in them. But, they were a little small and dense for muffins.
