I thought these muffins were just ok, they didn't taste much like bananas, and were kinda spongey. Next time I will use just bananas and not the apple sauce.

Really good muffins from this! I followed the recipe exactly, and the cooking time was just right.

Very nice banana muffins that my kids enjoyed having for a snack. I did increase the amount of banana to a full cup and think that otherwise the flavor of the applesauce would compete too much with the banana flavor.

I don't know what went wrong, but these did not rise at all. The only thing that I did different, was the applesauce. I only had chunky style. They taste good, but look like muffin tops. I guess Elaine from Seinfeld would be proud.

I used whole wheat white flour and I cut back the baking powder to a teaspoon and added a teaspoon of baking soda. I also cut the salt back to a quarter teaspoon and I used "soured" milk instead of plain milk. Very simple. Next time, I'll try Hershey's cinnamon chips and maybe add a little cinnamon and nutmeg. I think I'll use all banana next time, too, and cut out the applesauce.

I made this recipe without any changes and it came out great! The muffins looked picture perfect and were quite delicious. I think I'll be using this recipe a lot.

I liked the fact that these were made with applesauce. Found the muffins were moist and tasty. I tried something different as my husband is not a fan of chocolate with his banana - I added raisins to 1/2 of the batch - quite good. Next time I'd add the oil as I found the muffins stuck to the muffin liners without it.

for being banana - my kids & elderly neighbor really enjoyed these - i consider this to be somewhat healthy - so this is a good thing.
