I wanted to find a recipe for Banana Bread that didn't use eggs. I followed the instructions but added 1 t cinnamon, a dash of cloves, a dash of allspice and 1/2 t of vanilla. This was a great recipe! The bread is moist and flavorful!

I was looking for a recipe that did not have eggs because my son is allergic to them. This recipe was Excellent! I made a couple of minor changes after reading other reviews. I added cinnamon and vanilla to the bananas, used half whole wheat and half regular flour, decreased sugar to 3/4 cup and added 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce. Baked as muffins for about 23 minutes. These couldn't have been better!

I've been using this recipe for a while and love it. This week, almost by accident I made it even better. I didn't have shortening so used 1/4 cup butter and 1/4 applesauce. Then I realized afterwards I had left out that last 1/2 cup of flour--which resulted in deliciously moist bread. This is a mistake I will be making again.

I love this recipe because it is soooo easy to make! I will keep using it whenever my bananas start to become too ripe. I also added a dash of cinnamon and yes the house did smell wonderful.

Banana Bread is one of my favorite things to bake and I found this recipe when I was out of eggs. I am so impressed at how the loaves turned out I had to add my comments. This is a keeper, easy, moist and yummy! I only added mini chocolate chips.

I had an extra banana so I used that too and my bread was good and moist. I still can't believe it didn't have an egg in it.

This banana bread is EXCELLENT! I replaced one banana with a half-cup of unsweetened applesauce (because I didn't have enough bananas), used around 3/4 cup white sugar and 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, used Country Crock instead of shortening, and added about 1/8 cup canola oil to make sure it didn't end up too dry. Came out as the best banana bread I had ever made!!!

I made this for a class breakfast potluck with vegan students. I added 1 tsp of cinnamon, 1 tsp of vanilla, 1/2 cup walnuts, and 1/2 cup of applesauce just for kicks. 1/2 the flour I used whole wheat. I also put a streusel topping according to another reviewers recipe. They were sooo great, everyone loved them and asked for more.

Not bad, lacking spice but not bad! I added a bunch of allspice and a dash of nutmeg and i think the smell of it baking was better than anything else. I would use this again, over and over!

This recipe can have substitutions, in order in a 1 quart measuring cup i added 1/3 cup of olive oil, put in 1/2 cup packed brown sugar or less, 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda and 1 of salt, 1/2cup to 2/3 cup of milk, then 3 small thawed black bananas from the freezer. I added some chocolate chips too for an extra. I poured this into a 9X9 pan instead of a 8X4, it works just great! same time 1 hour at 325 F in the oven. Totally awesome banana bread like almost cake its nice and moist.

Okay so i had some perfectly ripe bananas for baking (only 2) so i looked up banana bread recipes. There was a catch i didnt have any eggs and i came across this wonderfully delicious and easy banana bread that does not require eggs! I used the suggestions of others and used 2 bananas and 1 cup of milk. I can not believe this doesnt have that many reviews as some other bread recipes. This was so so simple and so so so good. Yum. U wont be sorry.

Oh my goodness this bread is so good! I didn't think an eggless bread would be, but it is delicious. I also added about 1/2 cup of milk, used 1/4 cup brown sugar and 3/4 cup white sugar, and added a pinch of cinnamon and a teaspoon of vanilla. I made muffins with it and my son loved it too!

So good! Very moist. I added as much milk as I needed to get a more flowable batter. Next time I will add walnuts.

I'm not much of a banana bread person, but my husband who loves banana bread and knows what is good, loved this banana bread so much that all I heard was "Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm" for a good minute before he said anything else. I love that it turned out so well despite all the tweaking I did to the recipe to use the ingredients I had at home. I substituted 1 1/4 cup bread flour and 1/4 cup whole wheat flour for the All Purpose the recipe calls for. I also used unsalted butter instead of shortening and added 3/4 cup of whole milk since several other reviewers suggested it. I also used 1/2 cup raw cane sugar and 1/2 cup light brown sugar instead of white sugar, since I didn't have any at home. The result was a wholesome, rich, moist bread. I will definitely make this recipe again.
