I didn't have enough bananas so I substituted 3/4 cup of mashed bananas for softened cream cheese and added 1 cup of chopped walnuts. It took much less time than the stated 60 minutes but may have been because I used my toaster oven. Mine were in small loaf pans and were done in 30 minutes. Vey moist and yummy!

Very tasty, I omitted the salt b/c the only butter I had was the salted kind. I used 4 large bananas, but didn't measure out how many cups...Never the less, very good and easy to make.

This was delicious! I added some pumpkin pie spice and did the brown sugar on top (suggested below). Also, I baked it in a scone pan to make little individual loaves. Baked for 30 mins. Delicious!

Yummm! I baked in a muffin tin and, like previous reviewers did, also added a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg and I also sprinkled cinnamon/sugar on top of each muffin before putting into the oven. I cooked them for 24 minutes at 325 and they came out so yummy! Thanks Shelley and other reviewers for your help in creating some bananalicious muffins!!!

My husband loves when we have leftover bananas so he can make this with the kids!! I like him to add mini chocolate chips, just toss them in flour so they don't sink to the bottom!

The bread was amazing! I did change the recipe to be a little more healthy. I used applesauce, whole wheat flour, nutmeg, cinn and cut the brown sugar down! I will make it again!

I had a favorite banana bread recipe that I used for years - I lost the recipe card and turned to all recipes to find something similar - This recipe was fantastic - exactly like the ones I had made for years and was the first thing on the christmas goodie table that was snatched up. A definate 5 star recipe

It's banana bread. I didn't find this recipe to be any better than any of the other recipes I've tasted. It's plain ol' banana bread.

I actually made muffins with this recipe. I made 12 over sized muffins with exactly the recipe here and they turned out wonderfully. This really is a keeper recipe. I might try with whole wheat flour next time and maybe add bran, but as it is, this is a perfect banana bread / muffin recipe.

I made another recipe a few weeks ago and it was awful, it called for too much baking soda which ruined it! I used this recipe tonight and it turned out fantastic, I will definitely use this again, the only thing I did differently is add about 2 handfuls of chopped walnuts.

Outstanding! I actually had to cook the bread for 20 mins. more than called for in the original recipe. However, it was worth every exta minute. This IS the best banana bread I had EVER had.

Yummy recipe! I've made it as published, and have always liked it. This time, I made it vegan, substituting 1/4 cup of applesauce for each egg---and added a 1/2 cup or so of sour cream, for good moistness measure. With all of these alterations, it was very heavy and moist.
