Perfect Banana Bread...everytime. The secret is to fold in the bananas as the recipe states. When we get bananas, we get them 100-at a time. Our favorite version of this recipe is with is with 1/4 C shredded coconut, 1/2 C chocolate chips, and 1/2 C macadamia nuts (chopped) folded in with the bananas. It make a great dessert; slice and pan-fry, on both sides, until brown, with a little bit of butter and serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. The baked recipe freezes well and is great to keep on hand for a last minute treat!

This recipe was very simple, but not really as good as people give it credit for.It was too moist, and had an unappealing texture. Maybe add more sugar and bake longer I am not sure.

I usually don't like banana bread without nuts in it but this was EXCELLENT!!! I made 6 servings and made 6 perfectly cute muffins. Also, I used some thawed, overly ripe, or maybe I should say black bananas. In addition, I used only 1/2 butter and 1/2 applesauce to decrease the butter in the batter. Drizzled a bit of melted butter before serving. Next time I'll use 1/2 sugar and 1/2 applesauce with the addition to the butter modification.

This is an excellent banana bread - moist and with a lot of flavor. That said, I did add some toasted pecan pieces for flavor.

Great recipe, I like making a glaze for the top with brown sugar and water (3:1 ratio). Also, tastes good with some nutmeg in it... in a pinch, you can use peanut butter if you don't have enough bananas.

5 Stars IF you add 1 tsp. cinnamon, a pinch of nutmeg and 1 tsp. vanilla extract. How could you make a banana bread with NO spices?? Anyway, with these simple additions it is PHENOMINAL!!! The best banana bread ever. I usually make 1 batch with 1 cup chopped walnuts, and 1 batch with 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips. Delicious!

I didn't care for this bread. After reading the reviews I realized that a lot of the people who rated this highly added cinnamon and other spices. Well duh then it would be better! I wish I had added spices but I made it just as the recipe reads. It is not sweet enough nor does it have the flavor I associate with banana bread because all the spices are missing.

I know it's a faux pas to make changes and review the recipe, but I did tweak this to make it more heart healthy. I substituted ground flax seed meal for half the oil, I used 1 1/2 cups of white whole wheat flour and 1/2 cup of oatmeal. It's a great dense banana-ey bread
