The recipe was quick and easy and very cheesey. I used Italian Sausage, sliced after cooking them, rather than ground beef. I also simmered the mixture for about 30 minutes so the sausage and sause blended well. I used the Ricotta cheese rather than sour cream and it turned out wonderful. The entire family loved it, great recipe.

This was a great recipe and easy. I also took the advice of others and mixed the sour cream with the pasta. I originally started placing this in a 9x13 pan to find that there was too much to go in so ended up transferring to a deep dish lasagna pan. My kids were home for the weekend and loved it as much as my husband and I.

Although I use this site all of the time, this is my first review. I made two batches of this today to take to work because the employees needed a nice "pick-me-up". I was hesitant to take a dish I had never tried but I didn't need to worry. It got RAVE reviews. People begged for the recipe. I really liked it myself (although I prefer the creamier taste of ricotta). I used half beef and half sausage and did mix the sour cream with the pasta as others suggested. Great Job! A new staple!

This a very good recipe. I added garlic and used half beef and half pork. You need a much larger pan than is suggested. I used a lasagna pan and it was full.

This was great. I cut into it too soon. I should have let it set more before serving and it would have been perfect!

I have made this twice. The firt time I used ground chuck, but I had to quadruple the recipe for a party. Last night I made the basic recipe using Italian sausage. This is by far the best baked ziti ever. It does have a resemblance to lasagna, but I think it's better. I do mix the sour cream into the ziti first....stop searching. This is the best one yet! I will making this one a lot!

I really liked this recipe. It was easy, but looked like it took a long time to make. I am a fan of ricotta so I substituted 15 oz. of ricotta for the sour cream. I also used Bertolli sauce and it came out great.

Great substitute for ricotta, family loved it. I also mixed sour cream and parmesan with ziti before layering. I used shredded italian cheese blend, ground turkey and homemade sauce. Even my hubby who swears he hates sour cream loved it.

I loved this, and the family was divided on it - some loved, some didn't. However, no one disliked it and everyone ate their plate clean. Went well with bread and salad.

Great recipe! The ratios are perfect and the dish is very versatile. I halved it and it still filled a 9x13 casserole dish (I probably had more meat in there than it called for). I also mixed the noodles with the sour cream and they weren't dry at all. There was plenty of sauce, too. I mixed hamburg with hot Italian sausage, but it would be great either way. This is going in my rotation!

I cut the recipe in half and it still filled a 9x9 pan to the top! I took others' suggestion and mixed the sour cream into the noodles. It creates almost a ricotta effect. I used a jar of Trader Joe's Organic Tomato and Basil Marinara and substituted mild Italian sausage for the ground beef. I also used fresh basil from my garden. It turned out pretty good! I'll make it again. I can't imagine making the whole recipe unless I had a LOT of people to feed, though.
