I would only give this a 3. I just cooked it with my boyfriend, and we found it to be very bland. I even added quite a bit of garlic and italian seasoning to the onion/beef mix and it was just not very exciting. The sour cream made it watery, and I'm not impressed :(

Excellent recipe! I took the advice to add some sauce on top of the ziti, and it came out perfect! I've made this recipe three times now and it's always a huge hit.

This is a very good dish, and pretty easy to put together. I had to use a different kind of pasta, because I couldn't find ziti at the store. The next time I make it, I will only use 1/2 pound of pasta. Reading the other reviews helped also. Cover before baking. Thanks for the keeper recipe!

I love this easy recipe! I am making it tonight for 8 people... I actually simmer/reduce the sauce for longer than 15 mins because I like my ziti to be pretty thick, but that is just personal preference. I also make it meat free because my boyfriend is a veggie... would love to try it with meat though! Sauce is pretty easy to make- next time I will probably try to make this but make my own sauce instead of just jar of spaghetti sauce. As far as covering it goes- yes do cover it for the bulk of the baking, but I uncover it towards the end to make the cheese look toasty.

Everyone loves this recipe in my house. It's great as described. However, instead of typically layering, I fold over all the ingredients to make sure the meat, sauce, sour cream and cheeses are evenly distributed. Then, I top with an additional layer of mozzarella cheese. Yummy!

I loved this recipe. I tried it without believing the reports about the quantity. I was proved wrong. This recipe does indeed serve 10. Wow it is a cheap and easy recipe to feed the family for a couple of meals.

I didn't change a thing. Even my Italian boyfriend thought this was great, and it was super-simple - a must in my household. Will definitely make this again.

This didn't do it for me. I love baked ziti, but I don't know what it is that I didn't care for. I followed the directions. I felt like it needed some zest or something. I'm wondering if it was the sour cream. I don't know, just different to me.

I may try this again with a better sauce. I used Barilla tomatoe and basil and both the hubby and I thought it was way too sweet!

I was a little nervous about this recipe due to the lack of ricotta and bc I didn't like the spaghetti sauce I bought that much. BUT, it turned out DELICIOUS! I took other reviewers advice and mixed the ziti with the meat sauce instead of layering. That worked well, I think, to keep the noodles moist.

My boyfriend and I really liked this Ziti recipe! We are vegetarians, so instead of the ground beef, I sauteed chopped zucchini and yellow squash and added it to the sauce. I also added fresh garlic. BIG HIT!

I made 80 pans of this recipe for a fund raiser and had TONS of compliments! This is a definite repeat. The only thing I did to make it freeze easier was to mix the sour cream and spaghetti sauce together before putting it in the pan.

This recipe is great! Everyone I have made it for LOVES IT!!! I prefer to add some garlic to the meat and onion mixture and a splash of red wine to the sauce; I also layer mine a bit different so the sauce gets mixed up inside the noodles. No matter how it is made though, there is no going wrong with this recipe; it's an A+! Makes AWESOME leftovers...YUM!

Great!! I usually make these recipes for other ppl first and then let them try it, but I made this for myself at home and it was delicious..I'm a bit messy in the kitchen as well.. But I also followed the other members reviews and put the meat sauce after the pasta so it can go throughout all the pasta.. I didn't bake mines as long but it still came out perfect!!! Next time, I'm going to try for more vegetables in the meat sauce!!! YAY!!! THIS IS A WINNER...

Delicious! I made half the serving size and used turkey instead of beef and my BF and I loved this. Also, I only used about 2 dollops of sour cream because of some of the other reviews. Will def be making this again!
