"This simple dessert is a tasty ending to our Thanksgiving meal of roast turkey or pork. Pears are a yummy change from the typical apples. --Marie Labanowski, New Hampton, New York"

This is a great recipe. I didn't have any lemons so I used orange where it called for lemon and still came out great. I served with ice cream when the pears just came out of the oven and was a hit.

My family really enjoyed this dessert but agreed that we will make it sweeter next time. The lemon came through more than the maple and brown sugar.

Very good. The lemon was nice, but orange may have been good, too. I will try it next time. Also, I think it would be fabulous paired with vanilla ice cream, of which I had none. Again, next time!
