This is a really tasty recipe. I made it in a snap tonight with leftover spaghetti sauce that I had frozen and I used fresh sour cream instead of cottage cheese. I didn't have fresh parmesan on hand so grated from the can. I cut the recipe in half and that worked really well in an 8x8 pan and I cut the cooking time by about 5 minutes covered and another 5 minutes uncovered. Thanks for a great recipe!

Easy & tastes great! I substituted ricotta for the cottage cheese & added a clove of minced garlic to the meat/sauce mixture. I made this for my boyfriend and I & it was perfect. It will be too dry for my dad, so when I make it for he & my mom this weekend I will make extra meat/sauce & serve it as-is for my dad to pour on top of his serving. What a great recipe, thank you!

This was good but definetly needed more sauce. I also ended up browning the meat with garlic and Italian seasoning.

This was okay. I thought regular spaghetti tastes better. I added the sour cream instead of the cottage cheese, and it was good, but not like, wow. I was expecting more.

YUMMY! Thought it would be even better the next day, but it was best the first day. I added lots of chopped garlic and italian herbs to the meat and onions. I also used the new pouch sauces, I used three... so that's about a jar and a half. Really good!

I made this recipe last night for my family who is visiting. I made two changes, which I think were crucial to the success of this dish. I substituted ricotta cheese for the cottage cheese, and I used TWO 26 oz containers of sauce, both the garlic and herb variety. The only other thing that I did differently was to spread just a little sauce on the bottom of the dishes instead of greasing them, which worked just as well. I can't imagine making this without doubling the sauce... I just don't think it would be wet enough. Even with the extra sauce, the casserole still stuck together well enough to serve with a spatula. I honestly believe that this would have served more like 12 people, because there were six of us and we have more than half left over after some of us had seconds! This makes a very large batch, which is great because I don't have to cook tonight!

Great kid-friendly family meal. Seemed a little noodle-y so next time I will either halve the amount of noodles or double all of the other ingredients, depending on how many I'm feeding. This will make a great make-ahead-and-freeze dish for the time after my baby is born.

I didn't change much on this recipe. I used a little bit of regular salt on the noodles instead of the seasoning salt. I used a homemade speghetti sauce that was leftover from when I made the Pizza Pasta. My family was not all that impressed. For me, it reminds me of the church speghetti that we used to have for Youth Group feeds.I doubt I'll make this again.

This was a quick and easy put together dish using this and that from leftovers. Didn't measure the ingredients but definitey added more tomato sauce, subbed ricotta for the cottage cheese and threw in some fresh herbs from my garden. Thanks Louise!

This was delicious and very easy to make.. I used cream cheese and I didn't have butter so I used olive oil.. It still turned out great. My husband didn't even touch the rest of his food and ate three servings. It's definitely a keeper!

This was good but nothing to write home about. I agree with other reviewers that it definitely needs more sauce, which I think would move it up to five stars instead of just four. I will try it again using more sauce and probably sour cream to give it some more punch. I did add two large garlic cloves and chopped green pepper to the hamburger or it would have been way too bland, so I will include that the next time as well.

My family loves this recipe. I do make a few changes though, I use ricotta cheese instead of cottage (and I use more that what is called for) and I also use more sauce - as one reviewer said - it is very dry. It makes a lot, but it is great as leftovers.

This was so good! I did halve it for my small family and it was plenty, still had leftovers. I did make a few changes, I used sea salt instead of season salt. I added some fresh crushed garlic to the meat. Even though I halved the recipe I still used about 1/4 cup of parmesan. I didn't have any cottage cheese so I used about a half a cup of cubed cream cheese, and I used half cheddar and half mozzarella. Also, I didn't layer it like it said. I did spaghetti mixture on the bottom, then the cubed cream cheese, then the meat sauce, the topped it off with the cheddar and mozzarella. Delicious! I know it probably sounds like a lot of changes but it really wasn't. It was very flavorful and not dry at all. Plus the kids loved it! Will make again.

This was okay. Mixed reviews from the family. Very dry - definitely needs more sauce. I added ground beef, onion, garlic, and italian seasoning. I probably won't make this again.
