If I had followed the recipe as written it would have been WAY too salty. Use 1/2 soy and 1/2 water as others have suggested. I ran out of sodium-reduced soy but I think the proportions there would still have to be tweaked.

A little too salty for me (and I do love salty foods!). Otherwise, really easy to make which is nice when you're tired and don't feel like slaving in the kitchen :). I will try this recipe again with a low sodium soy.

Nice flavor. I marinated the chops in the sauce for a couple of hours and cooked them on the grill. Served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and sugar snap peas.

This was a super easy recipe for great tasting chops. I used half low sodium soy sauce and half regular soy sauce. The next time I will use all low sodium, since they were still a little salty. Otherwise I would recommend this recipe and to go longer on the marinating time.

Not sure if it was something I did, but came out very dry and not very much flavor -- even though I reduced the time. Will not make this again.

Very delicious but they would be better with low-sodium soy sauce because they were too salty.

Wonderful! My husband and I just love these! He told me to keep this recipe about ten times while we were eating. The only tweaks I made was to use low-sodium soy sauce and I cooked my thick cut chops about 35-40 min at 375. Next time I want to try to add some ginger like others have suggested.

I halfed the soy sauce, diluted with water and marinated overnight. They were quite tasty but a bit dried out.

I followed the recipe as written and thought it was awful. Way to salty. My son on the other hand could not stop ranting about how wonderful it was. He said it was the best thing I'd fixed in quite awhile. Go figure. I gave it 4 stars because of how much he liked it but if I had rated it I'd have given it a 2 star. Next time I will use less Soy or try the Sodium Reduced. I did love how tender the chops were. That part was awesome!

This is an awesome recipe. I did make a few changes though. I used low sodium soy sauce, used the juice of one whole lemon (too lazy to measure) and a very generous sprinkle of black pepper. I had some leftover red onion from another dish so I chopped it up and added it to the marinade. (will try green onion next time) I marinated the chops for about 8 hours and baked them for only 25 mins. Then I broiled them on high for a few minutes. Delish!

Took the advice of others and cut back soy to 1/4 cup, added water and Hoisin sauce to sweeten up some but still found this too salty. Nice lemon flavour in the chops though.

I used low-sodium soy sauce, and it was still way too salty. The marinade gave the pork a strange texture.

I am not sure why this recipe received high ratings! We have made it twice and both times they chops come out tasting like soy sauce. The first time they marinated for 4 hours, we thought that was the problem, so we tried 1 hour the next time. I do not recommend this recipe! I even used low sodium soy sauce.

This is one of the best recipes I've tried on Allrecipes.com! It was wonderful! Since I only made this for 2, the amount of soy sauce was perfect. But I could tell that if I made this for 4 that it would be extremely salty. I marinated the pork chops in the mixture for 5 hours in a zip lock bag and it was perfect. I also cooked them for 30 minutes instead of 40. Perfect!
