I sub'd pollock for haddock. Very bland recipe. I gave it 2 stars because the cooking process was exceptional. I took others advice and raised the fish off the bottom of the dish and it cooked perfectly. The filets were thick and I cooked for 20 min. at 500 and were cooked to perfection. Not dry at all.

This is the best meal you've ever made mom, it's awesome!! That was from my son, he's 42! So I have save this and I will be serving this again. I too had to change things, made half my bread crumbs out of stuffing as I didn't have enough, and added an egg to the milk mixture. Thanks so much for this recipe! I don't often get compliments, and never like I did tonite, the whole family loved it!

Loved this recipe...I read it and then the cable went out. I had no problem remembering it so it was very easy and quick. My husband and 9 year old loved it.

This was excellent. The most telling-- my wife doesn't usually care for fish, but she loved it. We didn't have any parmesan cheese left, so I used an Irish cheese called 'Dubliner' that we needed to use before it went out of date, and it was really good. I suspect that many different cheeses could be used for variation in flavor. Also, my wife cannot have gluten so we used gluten-free breadcrumbs. This looks like one of those recipes that you can make many different ways.

delicious! soaked in milk for a couple of hours before breading. i used panko rather than bread crumbs because i like the taste/texture better. i didn't have plain thyme, so i substituted pampered chef's rosemary and herbs, which worked just fine. i also added a little bit of lemon to the melted butter. baked on a rack as suggested by other reviewers.

Easy and delicious -I used 1 1/2 lbs. of haddock and needed less than half of the milk and bread crumb mixtures.

Wonderful dish! My husband made it exactly as per the recipe apart from using bass instead of haddock. Was crispy with the butter. A side note: He says he didn't need nearly as much milk as the recipe indicates.

This recipe was quick, easy and yummy. I may add some extra seasoning next time as I thought it needed a little something extra but still worth the 4 stars. I also agree with the other reviews that you MUST use the wire rack.

Ok, its been a while since I posted a comment here, even though I keep using the recipes over and over again. But this time I HAVE TO. This was absolutely great! Few modifications though: added some paprika to milk and salt, let haddock sit in it for about an hour. Added italian seasoning to the breadcrums mix. Put fish on the wire rack in the oven (I honestly think it is a must - no soggy bottom at all!) As a result - completely satisfied and happy hubby (that makes faces every time I propose fish for dinner!)He said "Parmesan makes it". Light crisp on the outside, flavorfull, flaky on the inside! I would cut down on crumbs and parmesan amount next time though - got a lot left over. Thank you very much for the recipe! Will make again for us, will make for guests!

This was very easy and delicious, however, next time I wil use less breadcrumbs, and no butter, will spray with pam instead to give it a more crunchy coating. Will make again!!

I LOVED this recipe! I only had Italian style bread crumbs on hand so I used those! I also forgot to drizzle the butter over the fish but it was very good anyway! I cut the fish into strips so basically made 'Fish Fingers' for my niece and nephew, turned out great! Thanks a lot!

All around a very good recipe. I took some others suggestions by adding parsley to the bread crumbs and squeezing lemon juice over the fish. I also made my own bread crumbs by crushing Saltines with garlic powder, salt and pepper. My husband and I were both pleased with the meal.

I used fresh haddock and followed directions exactly. My husband and I just did not like it. The texture of the fish was perfect but the taste was not impressive. I will stick to the simple way I usually bake it... with melted butter and tarragon on top.
