Very good! But, I cooked regular rice on the stove with some seasoning mix, onion & garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and condensed chicken bullion paste. When it was close to being done I stirred in grated Parmesan cheese. I layered steamed broccoli, the rice and then the fish. Sprinkled more seasoning on top and Parmesan cheese before baking. What made it so good was a lemon butter sauce I cooked on the stove just before the baked fish was done. I adjusted to taste with butter, lemon juice, salt & pepper, onion & garlic powder, and more Parmesan cheese. Drizzled over just before serving and it was fantastic! Will make again.

This is a good start, nothing wrong with it, but fish needs more spice, and with the given cooking time, the rice wasnt cooked. needed about 18 minutes longer. and then still, it wasnt the rice I'm used to. Flavor was good, but the length of time cooking then also overcooked the broccoli....any solutions to that?

I followed some other reviewers advice and used one cup of instant brown rice and one cup of chicken broth. I also sprinkled onion powder and seasoning salt on my fish to give it more flavor. I didn't add the onions as I am not a fan. I followed the rest of the recipe as written. Next time I would leave out the broccoli as I didn't care for it in this recipe. The rice was pretty good though.

this was great! I needed to use up some frozen whiting fish (which wasn't so good the last time I used it)and I didn't have any fried onions so I just added a lot of extra parm to the rice, and salt & pepper to the fish. I also used a bag of frozen mixed veggies. yum!

Real good recipe, the rice mix is real good, I used a vegetarian chicken flavor both and it came out real good. You really need to cover it or the rice won't cook properly. I used Tilapia and it tasted great, also used Mozzarella instead of cheddar for a nice cheese topping.

I made the recipe for 6 servings and it came out fantastic. I used tilapia for the fish. We don't like a lot of seasoning, but if you do you might want to add some other herbs as suggested in some of the other reviews. It was a very easy recipe to make and my wife loved the idea of just one dish to clean.

This was really tasty. Next time I'll use instant brown rice instead of the regular. My rice was still a little crunchy after baking.

I just made this recipe. It is very easy but my husband and I both agreed it was better without the fish. We used cod so maybe that was our issue and if we had used halibut we might have liked it better. We would make again without the fish.

This was sooo good. I used Garlic Plus seasoning instead of the Italian and garlic salt. I added a dash of Old Bay Seasoning and I used thawed stir fry veggies. I also used more fried onions than called for. My husband and daughter loved it. I will definately make this again, I may even try it with jumbo shrimp next time!

A friend and I tried this, just this past Saturday. Very good! Used Talipa not only did it taste great but it looked great. The only problem we had was the rice was a little undone, but I think that was because I didn't cover it the first 15 minutes. Will be making again.......

Used brown rice and whole fish. A little bland, but we passed the old bay seasoning around the table and everyone seemed pleased. This dish has enough potential to be a regular. I'm going to use a frozen medly next time instead of the broccli(carrots brocclli and cauliflower).

I made this last night. It wasn't my favorite but I have to admit that I didn't follow the recipe to the "T". First of all, I didn't have any broccoli, so I subbed a bag of frozen mixed veggies. This recipe came up from an ingredient search (box of frozen fish fillets). Well, dummy me, I had BREADED fish fillets - didn't realize it was for plain fish. I did everything else the same and used a 9x12 pan. It was filling but my boyfriend didn't care for it. Previous posts said the fish was soggy - mine wasn't so thumbs up to that. Not bad for a change of pace.

Fantastic fish receipe! And so simple and quick to make! I've tried it now with tilapia filets and catfish filets and they both worked well with the flavors of this super one-dish fish dinner. Thanks for posting this one, it's a "real keeper".

This was good, but next time I will add 1 cup of rice and more chicken broth and seasonings. Also I think chicken breasts would go better.
