Baked Corn Pudding
SUBMITTED BY:
Peggy West
"Here's a comforting side dish that can turn even ordinary meals into something to celebrate. A Yuletide favorite with our entire family, it spoons up as sweet and creamy as custard. Guests give it rave reviews and always ask for the recipe. -Peggy West Georgetown, Delaware"

Moist and delicious! Instead of the flour I used Jiffy corn muffin mix, so I also left out the sugar. Great recipe!

This went over really well at our Memorial Day BBQ! I added an extra egg (I like the custard consistency) and used evaporated milk instead of regular milk. Turned out great!!

Made this for a crowd of 20 for New Year's dinner. It was the first dish totally empty. The only change I made was to use thawed frozen corn from our garden. I received many compliments. Everyone said it was like their mother used to make.

I made this for Thanksgiving and have been asked to make for Christmas dinner. Everyone loved it. I did think it was too sweet, so I will use less sugar.

Was SO easy to throw together, but a little soupy for the baking time. Took more like an hour to bake, but it tasted out of this world fantastic! Depending on how sweet and/or buttery you like your corn pudding, you might want to tinker with the measurements.

I printed this recipe out as an emergency replacement for a failed side dish. The taste was delicious, a tad too sweet for my taste. I will cut down on the sugar next time. Cooking time was definitely closer to an hour, but didn't mind with such a wonderful outcome!

I just made this and pulled it out of the oven. I followed the directions as stated. It came out as a previous cooker said, watery and seperated. Really weird. Tastes good, but now I dont really want to serve it for dinner. Maybe not only drain the canned corn, but press the liquid out of it?

This is almost identical to my mother's recipe. I made the following modifications: I cut the sugar in half, thawed out frozen corn instead of canned corn (the canned seems to make it soggier), and I added 1/2 cup on sharp cheddar cheese to offset the sugar.
