These were just okay. There were tons of leftovers because nobody wanted to eat them. I actually prefer just plain old canned beans to these.

Super easy and good. Even easier using dried chopped onions. Baked beans are better made with dried onions...I don't know why. Great recipe...Thanks!

Followed directions for the most part but did leave out the onion and salt & pepper per our preference. Family enjoyed.

I doubled this recipe and made them for my son's birthday party. Everyone loved them. I didn't have any red wine vinegar, so I left it out. They were delicious!!

I've made these twice and they are always a hit. I follow the recipe to a "T" and throw it into a crock pot for a few hours prior to serving. They always seem to be better the following day. Thanks for the recipe!

Don't change a thing. This recipe is spot on. We love rich, down home baked beans and these hit the spot. My grandmother-in-law is a vegetarian and she will pick the bacon off and grab her a big 'ole heaping. If you are looking for a baked bean recipe stop here...don't waste your time elsewhere.

I have made this numerous times and I have found that everyone has always said it was ok until I omitted the vinegar and substituted onion powder for the onions. Then they thought it was GREAT!! If you like a twang to your beans leave in the vinegar and if you like crunch to your onions leave in the onions. Thanks for such a good and easy basic bean recipe.

The best baked beans ever! The only thing I did different than the recipe is I added just about a 2 tablespoons of hickory smoke bbq sauce.

The prep time for this dish is so quick and easy, and tastes much better than what you can buy in a can or at a deli. I cut the brown sugar to 1/4 cup as other reviewers suggested, and it was still too sweet, to me. My wife, however, said they were the best baked beans she ever had. Didn't use the bacon and increased the worcestershire sauce to 1 tbs. Also added 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes for a little kick, and 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke. A 5 star dish that is highly recommended!

Forgot to add the worcestershire sauce, and did not add the bacon, but kept everything else the same. This is sweet and tangy and we liked it.

I thought these beans were interesting. I mean that in a good way, just slightly different than any baked beans I have ever had. I cooked the onion with a couple of sliced up pieces of bacon. I took my toping bacon off before I served the beans.

Very good! Only one person disliked them because she thought they were a bit too sweet. Otherwise they went over very well, and I will make them again.

These were soooo good! The only problem I had is that the bacon didn't crisp at all...next time, I will probably fry the bacon separately and crumble over the top. Great flavor though, these will be my staple baked beans recipe. Thanks for sharing!
