Great and easy recipe. I read other comments and took their advice and added more spices. Nothing can go wrong with this recipe even for a beginner like myself. This one is a keeper.

Wonderful! Moist chicken! I followed the recipe except used boneless, skinless chicken breast and cut the time down to one hour. Great chicken!

The meat completely fell off the bones! Very tender! (We only used drumsticks) My husband loved this dish and asks for it all the time. Thanks for an easy item!

Man...my family won't stop talking about this recipe, if they only knew how EASY it was!! The only changes I made was to ad garlic powder, lemon pepper and paprika. I also mixed babreque sauce with a thick steak sauce (i know it sounds strange, but it is part of my dad's secret recipe for barbeque sauce and sooooo tasty) Thanks for a GREAT easy recipe:)

This recipe was so simple to follow just ask my husband he is the one who prepared it. The chicken was moist, we lined the pan with non-stick foil to make clean up a breeze...thanks for sharing

This was a great recipe and I'll definitely make it again. I took the advice of other commenters and used some salt and pepper as well as the garlic powder to season the chicken for the first baking (I don't do onion powder) and also added a little bit of paprika to the mix. I lined the baking pan with aluminum foil which made it really easy to get rid of all the fat from the first baking, and lined it again for the second, so hubby had very little to clean up (he appreciated that!). I'm sure he liked it because he took leftovers for lunch today.

I think this technique rates 5 stars - my chicken comes out moist, tender and tasty. The key is to follow the directions- keep the chicken covered with foil during the "dry cooking" stage. For taste do rub it with garlic, poultry seasoning, pepper and/or whatever else you have on hand and don't forget to shove some seasoning under the skin. Tonight I had no bbq sauce so I heated some honey, mustard, soy and a little ketchup and used this instead and it came out better than ever.

I make this recipe fairly often. I've found that, to really make it flavorful, you have to make some additions to the recipe. I mix garlic powder, onion powder, and seasoned salt on a saucer. Then I rub that under the skin. Next I marinate for at least 30 minutes in a store-bought mesquite marinade. After that, I pretty much bake according to the recipe. The flavors seem to go through the chicken better this way.

Tasty! This is a great recipe! I also sprinkled the chicken with salt and pepper before baking. My whole family enjoyed the chicken. I served it with mashed potatos, dressing, and garlic brocli spears. (another good AR recipe)

This is a very good recipe, the preparation is extremely easy which is what I look for most in new recipes. I also like to add adobo seasoning to the chicken, or sazon goya!

I made some minor adjustments to this recipe, Since there are only the 2 of us I used a cornish game hen split in half. I also used a few more seasonings. I added some seasoned salt, black pepper and a bit of sea salt to the garlic powder. It came out very tender and flavorful. Add a baked potato and a salad and it was a great meal that seemed like it was a lot more work than it actually was. Thank you so much for a wonderful recipe that we will use again and again.

Yummy! I used chicken tenderloins, and marinated the chicken first (for about 15 minutes) using the rub from the recipe "Texas Pork Ribs" and adding liquid smoke and a bit of tabasco (for kick!). I used the Honey Baked Hams barbecue sauce that's been sitting around for awhile in my fridge, and the results were OUTSTANDING! I highly recommend using the rub to season the chicken - the garlic powder mentioned in the recipe just wouldn't be enough flavor on its own.

First, I let my husband do the cooking of this recipe, as I had to be the "taxi driver mom" this evening. The chicken was cooked following the exact temp. and times, but I found it to be too oily/greasy. I would definately drain the fat and then baste. Our 12 and 15-year-old did eat it however, with no complaints. This is a sure-fire recipe for when you are needing to speed things up. Thank you for sharing! PS: I see that the instructions do call for draining the grease...I apologize...I CAN follow directions...

Easy and delicious! Use a good flavorful BBQ sauce. I like Austin's Own (find it at HEB) because it tastes really good and it's not too hot if you're serving kids. You can prepare the night before and just pop into the oven when you're ready! Thanks for the recipe!!
