This is a great addition to asparagus. It almost has an oriental flare, so may not be compatible with every entree, but definitely tasty. I love cooking the asparagus in the oven. I have been a chronic steamer and I love the crispness the oven gives it.

This is the first recipe from this site that I did not care for. Three of us did not care for the taste but one did. I feel every one's taste buds are different. I thought I would like it because I love balsamic vinegar dressing on my salads, but I would not make this recipe again. I did follow the recipe.

This made a good little sauce. I steamed the asparagus instead of baking it. I also used a little bit of the sauce on my chicken. A little goes a long way.

I only had margarine, so I don't think we got the full effect of the recipe. However, it was still very tasty even though it didn't have the same taste real butter would have allowed. The combination of the butter flavor with the soy and vinegar seemed odd when reading the recipe, but it actually works very well together, especially on the asparagus. Will definitely try again with butter next time.

I would never think to mix balsamic vinegar and soy sauce! I really liked this recipe. The only addition I made to it was sprinkling the asparagus with about a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar prior to baking. I don't know what it added to the recipe, but I am a huge fan of balsamic vinegars and wanted to make sure there was a little extra on there.

I really enjoyed this recipe and so did my picky husband. I followed other's advice and did 1 tbsp of balsamic and 1 tsp of soy, simply because I love balsamic. The sauce amount was perfect for one bundle of asparagus. I also added just a sprinkle of onion powder :)Delicious!!

I prepared this the way many others suggested using 1 tsp. of the soy sauce and 1 Tbs. of the balsamic vinegar. Oh it was soooo good! Thanks for the recipe, I will be having this often!!

This recipe was super-easy and delicious. The tang of the balsamic vinegar combined with butter makes for a smooth sauce that perfectly complements the asparagus. Great side dish!

We thought these were great. I didn't tell anyone I did something different to my normal roasting of the asparagus, but everyone noticed right away ,and really enjoyed them. Just a little different to shake things up.I will diffently make again.

When adding your salt and pepper to taste, make sure you take into account the fact that you will be adding soy sauce later in the recipe. I was quite concerned that I had oversalted the asparagus when I tasted the sauce. I adjusted the sauce a biut to compensate by adding a smidge more butter adn balsamic. If you take the salt into account, I think this recipe is quick and easy to follow. Thanks!

My husband is an asparagus lover and I'm still aquiring a taste for it so I'm trying to find different ways to prepare it. I followed the recipe ingredient wise but since we have an 11 week old and time isn't always something I have a lot of, I just baked it with everything in it instead of adding it after it baked. My husband loved the recipe and I thought it was pretty tasty myself.

This was amazing!!! My husband and I loved the sauce. We ended up putting it on our steak, potatoes, and we even dipped our bread into it. It was the best sauce. Tomorrow I plan on marinating a pork tenderloin in it. Thanks for the recipe.
