This is delicious! After reading other reviews, I decided to use 2Tbs basalmic vinegar and 1 Tbs soy sauce because I love vinegar. My fiance liked it so much he drank the leftover sauce :)

I made this tonight. It was good. I did add I think too much butter, but that was my fault. Also, watch the time! 12 minutes was too long and the asparagus was over cooked. (and i like mine very soft) .. so, overall good taste, and i'll make again, just wont bake as long. oh, and i subbed red wine vinegar, because i didnt have balsamic.

So good! I did as others suggested, and browned the butter first. Don't miss out on that- it smells incredible. I doubled the recipe, using 4 T butter, still only 1 T soy, and 2 T balsamic. I did not use salt and pepper. I served this at a week night dinner party, and everyone had seconds. Really delicious and very little effort. I also used frozen asparagus for convenience. Just lay them out on baking sheets while you are preparing the rest of dinner so they can thaw a little before they go into the oven. I served this with the crock pot turkey breast from this site, mixing some of the turkey juice with a jar of good quality turkey gravy (read the labels- some have lots of filler and chemicals). I also cooked a bag of white and a bag of brown frozen rice from Trader Joes. I arrived home from work 10 minutes before my guests arrived for dinner, and this was an impressive meal to present. Everything was delicious, but the asparagus added real class and a gourmet touch. Thanks!!

Didn't have balsamic vinegar so I subbed red wine vinegar and cut back a little on the soy. Very good.

This was amazing! Easy and so delicious. We loved it so much we have made it 3 times now; and each time it got rave reviews. This sauce is addictive...I usually double it and add a little bit of water as it was a trifle salty (but I used salted butter). One of my favorites for sure!

I give this five stars if you use 1 Tbsp of balsamic vinegar and 1 tsp of soy sauce. Be sure to brown the butter first! Very easy--I will definitely make this again!

Pretty much perfect. Could've used a little something eles (hence the 4 stars) just dont know what. But these were definatly good. Followed all directions as written. Used the skinny aaparagus, came out to desired tenderness. Poured a couple drops of the sauce over them the last minute of baking. What more can I say? Thanks for the great recipe!

Excellent, simple and different recipe. Everyone loved it and thought that the sauce should be used throughout the entire meal...perhaps with chicken or pork. Would be 5 stars but the baking time needs adjustment, as did doubling the balsamic. With 2T. balsamic and 1T. soy sauce, the taste was much better. A definite keeper.

Everyone loved this on Easter. I had to bake it a little bit longer (I think it's more of a guideline anyway....depends on how thick or thin your asparagus spears are.) Also, I cooked sauce for a few minutes to reduce/thicken. Very good and will definitely make it again!

Switched the balsamic vinegar & soy sauce amounts and sprinkled a wee bit of garlic powder over the asparagus as it was cooking. Sensational and I can't wait to have the left-overs tomorrow!

I thought this recipe was pretty good. The asparagus baked nicely, and the sauce was fine. I didn't find it outstanding though. I felt like the taste of the sauce was overwhelmed by the natural flavor of the asparagus, and didn't add much to it. I probably could have been just as happy with plain roasted asparagus.

We have never been able to cook asparagus right - this turned out perfect! I did not have cooking spray so I drizzled olive oil over the asparagus before cooking. I also switched the amounts of balsalmic vinegar and soy sauce - turned out perfect!

Very good and many compliments. I didn't change anything, but I did add some olive oil to the asparagus when cooked since they were so thick.

I have never made asparagus before so I ran across this one and thought it sounded delightful. My husband was about to protest at the thought of asparagus but I convinced him to try it with me and the kids. After trying it, he asked if I could make more. Great recipe and very easy too!
