Fabulous dessert that's simple and delicious! If you like baked apples in the oven then you'll love 'em on the grill. Not only because of the ease of prep (you can basically eyeball vs. measure), but because of the ease of clean up - there is none! I sprayed the foil with a bit of Pam so nothing would stick and added a pat of Land O Lakes light butter over top along with a splash of vanilla. This was great with vanilla ice cream. Next time I might add a splash of rum vs. vanilla for a little different flavor...

Yum! This was really tasty. Made a great quick dessert with virtually no clean up. Baked apples are delicious anyway, but the coconut adds a nice flavor. Thanks!

This was a very easy recipe and tasted great. It's a great way to use up apples that have been sitting in the fridge for too long and aren't good for eating straight. I modified it a bit because I don't have a grill. After filling the center of the apples I put them in a 9 x 5 loaf pan and put a dab of margarine on the top of each. I covered the pan in tin foil and baked at 325F for about 50-60 minutes. They came out great! I liked it with the coconut!

We changed it up a little, sliced the apple up and mixed it with the filling items. It cooked in less than 20 minutes, with a little ice cream it was very yummy!

This was very good. They took a little longer on my grill--about 40 minutes. I used McIntosh apples which provided just the right amount of tartness. A nice finish to a dinner of grilled pork tenderloin and rice pilaf.
