I made this recipe as-is and could barely keep my hands off them! I love my deserts SWEET, so this was perfect. My boyfriend really liked them too and I managed to make them with what I had on-hand :)

These were great. I made them for our church bake sale and they were gone soooo fast! Mostly by the people selling them...they said they had to fight over the last one...LOL! Lots of compliments! Also a very EASY recipe and simple ingredients. I followed the original recipe but I might double the crust next time.

I made this for a church meal and it was gone in no time! I followed GourmetMommys directions and while it was very tart it was still wonderful! I used the juice from real lemons. YUM!

This recipe is a basic lemon bar recipe. It is too sweet! minus the white sugar down to 1cup, and add a squirt more lemon juice.

I have made these several times and they are delicious. They have been a hit at several backyard BBQ's. The only change I made was to add the zest of 1 lemon to the lemon topping. They are very to make as well.

Pretty good. Added extra lemon because our household likes a lot of lemon but otherwise followed the recipe and it came out fine. My co-workers LOVED them.

Try following the recipe! I made it just as written in a glass 9x13 and they turned out perfect! I mixed the shortbread crust with my hands and pressed it into the bottom of the pan.

Delicious! Lite, not too tart, not so sweet. A great lite-tasting dessert. Perfert for a hot day.

My friends thought this was very tasty. It needed more filling since the finished product was very thin, and a stronger lemon flavor. Next time I will adjust the recipe to reflect those needs

I received so many compliments on this dessert. I followed the advice of the reviewers and doubled the filling, which put the lemon bar more in proportion. The cookie crust was my favorite part. I'll definitely be making this again.

These came out excellent! Next time I'm going to use fresh squeezed lemon juice (instead of out of a bottle) and add some yellow food coloring.

These weren't really what i was hoping for... i love a thick, really lemony bar and these had a great texture and okay flavor, but just not what i was looking for.

They were thinner than I thought they would be, but very good. I followed the recipe exact, just watched the cooking time.

I was in a hurry to prepare a Memorial Day desert and didn't follow my routine of reading reviews. That was a mistake. Though the flavor of this recipe is four-star, I had a few issues, so overall, I rated it three stars: 1) the crust became too brown around the edges, and one end started to creep up the side of the pan; I cut that part out, and 2) the lemon mixture was too thin, I thought; just not enough volume, and 3) the lemon mixture turned out quite uneven. It's been years since I prepared a lemon bar recipe and the last one was superior to this one, but the bars are nearly gone in just a couple of hours, so the taste must not have been too bad. And once covered with powdered sugar, the somewhat bumpy texture was easily disguised.
