We hardly had any food in the house and when I found this recipe, I was trying to make a meal with what I had. Because of that, I made some significant changes, but used this recipe as the foundation. My girlfriend and I loved them. We will be making these again. Changes from the recipe: We had some red bell pepper laying around so we diced and sauteed them with the onion/mush stem mixture. Once we had stuffed them, I brushed them with a little garlic teryaki sauce and wrapped them in more bacon before putting them in the oven. We lowered the temp to 325 to accommodate the bacon, so I think it took about 30 mins. They were sooooo good!
