I made a triple receipe for a card party and kept them in an electric fry pan on low to keep warm. Needless to say the electric pan wasn't needed. It was hovered over until they were gone. It always feels good to walk away from a party and your appetizer was the one that was gobbled up.

Great to put out at parties. They still taste good once they reach room temp…if they last that long. To make clean up a snap, I put aluminum foil on the cookie sheet and sprayed it with Pam before putting on the skewered smokies. And I like my bacon crispy so I ended up cooking them for closer to 55 minutes. My husband wasn’t crazy about the brown sugar taste, so next time I will probably make two batches; one with the brown sugar and one without.

These are soooooo good. Now I'm stuck bringing them to EVERY function I attend. You might try making these on a grated roasting pan so the drippings can fall below. If not, you will have a dried fatty mess in about 40 minutes. But they don't usually last that long!

If you are factoring simplicity into your rating this might be the best appetizer ever. I have brought this to many different functions and I have never brought even one home. I cook these a lot longer than the recipe calls for however. I like my bacon well done.

Awesome! They truly are "meat candy". I didn't bother with the toothpicks and just stretched out thin strips of bacon around the smokies. I cooked them a day in advance, then added a little syrup for extra liquid and kept them warm in a crock pot during the party.

This recipe is outstanding. I have made them in the oven and on my grill. Be sure to use a grill safe pan or dish though. These delicous little wieners hardly make it off the grill before the pan is empty. A great apitizer to kick off any occasion.

I made TONS of these for a new year's eve party and they were gone about an hour into the festivities...I've been told by friends that they're only coming to our next shindig if these are made;)! HIGHLY recommend!

I've made these several times since Christmas for different family gatherings. They disappear quickly! I put them in a crockpot to keep warm. I add about 1/4 cup maple syrup to the bottom of the crockpot so they don't stick

They were easy to make and tasted great. I followed the other suggestions and dipped the smokies and bacon in brown sugar before baking. I am going to try these in the slow cooker next time.

We made these one night when we didn't want to cook dinner, and we had everything on hand. I was very skeptical of putting brown sugar on them, but they were very good! I wanted something to dip them in, and used some green onion dip we had in the fridge. Pretty good, though I may try a dip that I saw for these on this website next time. Yummy...thanks!

3 little girls polished off almost the entire batch of these Super Bowl Sunday. We three adults each got a couple, however. I poured the brown sugar in a bowl and stirred the smokies around in it before rolling in the bacon. I didn't use much more brown sugar when I baked them. They are fabulous!
