These were something else! And I mean that in a good way! Man -- not for the faint of heart when it comes to eating a fatty meal, but seriously...my family DEVOURED these. I wrapped the bacon all around the patty - not just the edge, but top to bottom. I also cooked these on our big electric skillet so they were basically fried in the bacon! Yum!

Bacon didn't hold up around the sides. Will just cook bacon and throw on top for next time.

Oh, this was delicious! The only complaint I had is similar to ones others have had. The bacon doesn't seem to get cooked quite right. This burger compares with the hamburger recipes I have always used. I didn't think anything could compete, and this stuff is pretty close! Thanks Jan!

OK burgers, but bacon gets rubbery and inedible. Had better burgers I've just seasoned myself with whatever concoctions. Interesting idea, but really falls flat.

slow cooked on the grill without the bacon and this came out perfectly. Cooked bacon on stove separately... one of the best burgers we've made.

They were okay, but they did have a meatloaf texture. Next time I will try it without the egg. They also tended to fall apart. Do NOT cook these in the oven or stovetop. The bacon grease seeps off and causes the meat to burn. Also, it helped cooking the bacon a little beforehand, otherwise the bacon wouldn't cook all the way.

These burgers were good but not as good as their rating. They were very moist but I would have to agree with cutting back on the onion and maybe cooking the bacon and crumbling it into the meat. I would recommend after they are formed to put them back in the fridge for a few hours so they don't fall apart as you put them on the grill. I may try adding chopped mushroom and liquid smoke the next time I make them.

Delicious taste! I did have the same problem as some others with them falling apart because they were so moist from all the wet ingredients.

Very moist without being meatloafy (and I added the egg). I did cook then crumble the bacon in just to give me piece of mind that it was indeed done. Everything else was made per the recipe. This is my new burger recipe. Thanks!

The BEST burgers!! My family thoroughly enjoyed these moist, juicy burgers. No need for cheese on top, they've got plenty inside. Wow! I will definitely make these again.

These burgers were fabulous. The flavor is wonderful and they are so moist. My bacon did get very crispy but the moistness of the burgers evened that out. My fiance even liked them and he only likes plain burgers, just meat with salt and pepper. He really enjoys them. It is just the two of us, but I made it for 6 servings and just froze the rest and they also turned out wonderful!

These were excellent. When I was forming the burgers, I realized that they were going to fall apart on the grill. So I placed the hamburger mixture back in the bowl and remixed adding 1/2 cup of plain bread crumbs.

MMMMMM yum! Next time I won't bother with the bacon. I'm sure it is a must for people who love bacon, but it was hard for me to work with because the grease dripping from it as it was cooking kept flaming up the grill and my burgers got a little too charred. I think the burgers would be equally delicious without it, so will make it again with that modification.

I made this as described and it was really good. Here comes the but. “but if you like blue cheese and ranch add crumbled blue cheese"1/4 cup" instead of the cheddar cheese and then "1 pack of ranch dressing mix" instead of the parmesan cheese. follow the original recipe. For the finish / Grill some sliced portabella mushrooms and sweet onions to top off your burgers.
