I made this side dish with my own spin. I blanched the asparagus then wrapped with Prosciutto. Drizzled with olive oil, salt/pepper, then sprinkled seasoned bread crumbs and parmesan cheese. I broiled in the oven until lightly crisp and brown. It was a hit!

Oh my yum. This was awesome. I loved it. Will make again for sure. I made it in the oven instead of the grill.

Baked in a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes - which was too long - but the result was still excellent flavor! Cannot wait to try on our grill and also in the oven too! Thanks for a great recipe.

I first made this on the gas grill and it was disasterous. I had flames!! Next we used our Tragger Grill, uses wood pellets without direct heat. OMG, this is so good, it is sinful. I don't know any other way to cook bacon that is so simple and so delicious.

I actually got this recipe from a friend and tried it right away last night. My entire family LOVED it. And like one of the other reviewers said, anything wrapped in bacon has to be good. My 10 yo son who absolutely detests asparagus, but loves bacon, had seconds. I used a grill tray, coated in EVOO, placed the wrapped asparagus in that, sprinkled garlic salt and pepper. Served it with grilled boneless country style pork ribs, corn, and a tossed salad.

Awesome side dish! Only thing I did differently was to coat the asparagus in olive oil rather than non-stick cooking spray (that stuff just scares me).

Good recipe if you don't overcook! I tried steaming them slightly before to make sure they weren't too hard. I then baked the at 400 for 20mins and broiled them for 3min. The result bacon wrapped around mushy asparagus! Don't make my mistake and overcook them. I also would consider wrapping multiple stems to make it a little healthier and a little less bacon taste. Beautiful presentation!

My whole family loved this! Even the kids who absolutely hate asparagus. I baked in a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes on a broiler pan, rotating every five minutes. The bacon was perfectly crisp, and the asparagus was just right, as well. WONDERFUL and I will make this often.

Yummy. I love how the saltiness of the bacon brings out the sweetness of the asparagus. Very good!

Absolutely the greatest! A big hit at my house. Only change I made was to wrap a slice of bacon around 2 pieces of asparagus instead of one.

I had some great skinny asparagus so I wrapped five at time with half a strip of bacon. They turned out great!
