I have never eaten anything like this. Our two little girls both ate them. They are tasty and easy but not something I will make a habit of eating.

I added in cheese, mushrooms, and onions to the popcover mix. Also, I left out the salt, and added Cavanders - since it has salt in it - for some flavoring :)

I made them with 5 slices of crispy thick center cut bacon, 1Tbsp bacon grease, 6 Tbsp cream cheese broken up into small dollops, 2Tbsp sliced green onion, Salt, Ground black pepper, a little garlic, 1cup shredded cheddar (save half to sprinkle on top for the last 5 min of baking). I think next time I will increase the eggs and decrease the flour since they were a little dense. Let them sit for a while after baking so the flavors meld together more.

Yuk. These tasted like dense muffins without sugar in them. No one in my family like them. "Hint of bacon" is just that. These are tasteless.

These are good but because other reviews said they were bland I changed it up a bit. I added seasoning salt instead of regular salt and increased it to 1/2tsp. I also used bacon grease instead of vegetable oil. I also added 1 cup of cheddar cheese to the batter. I had leftover Velveeta/ rotel dip so I added 1 teaspoon on top with the bacon. They came out great!

Included all the additions and they turned out great, added x2 bacon, about half a cup of cheese, also added some chopped spring onions to the mix and sprinkled on the top (try to squeeze vegetables in for my kid). Turned out great! Expect it would have been quite bland without the changes though.

Next time I'm going to add more bacon and more cheese because it didn't have enough flavor and I found the middle to be a little soggy egg tasting or something. Oh, and the 1st time I tried to make it this morning I put bacon grease that was still warm into the eggs and milk...NOT a good combination. Wait for it to cool completely off.

I was expecting these Popovers to be very tall and airy. They same out like Yourshire Pudding.
