Not very good; not awful but not worth the extra effort from just a basic corn bread mix in the box. My search for the perfect corn bread continues!

I bought a 16oz package of corn bread mix so I doubled the recipe, baked it for about 30 minutes in a 9x13 pan, instead of two 8x8s. My family LOVED it. I've already fielded several requests to make it again. This is a new family favorite.

Awesome! unfortunately, i did not have poppy seeds. it would be even better with them. mine baked for 40 minutes (my oven is weird) and was not dry at all! :) will def be making this again.

This was wonderful and so easy! My husband, who doesn't like cornbread as a rule, loved this. The bacon really does something special for this. Mine was done at the 20 minute mark. Definitely a keeper!

Made this recipe this morning to go with my chili for tonight's dinner. I didn't have cheddar but did have Monterey Jack which is perfect for Mexican, so I substituted and also added chopped cilantro. Delicious. My son and I have eaten over half of the pan and it's only 11: 26 in the morning. Looks like I'll be making another batch for dinner.
