My whole family loved this. I used brown rice to make it healthier, just had to cook the rice longer ahead of time. I saw many reviewer opted not to use the pickles, but we left them in for a more "authentic" burger taste. My family all greed it is a keeper.

This is very good. I took it to a picnic and it was almost completely gone in an hour. I followed the recipe except that I didn't notice I needed instant rice. After it was done, I didn't think the rice looked right. It was still crunchy. Next time, I'll partially cook the rice then follow the directions.

We've been making this for a couple of years now and everyone in my family has nothing but rave reviews for it! We use lean ground turkey and turkey bacon.. also to make it easier I just use relish instead of chopping up pickles. Although the ingredients sound odd - they are a perfect combination! Serve with french fries and Ketchup on top! YUM

Really good! I left the bacon and pickles as a side topping to be added at the table. Glad I did, as I didn't personally care for the pickles. I already had cooked rice in fridge so I reduced the water to about 1/3 cup and added 2 cups cooked rice, let it 'steam' for 5 minutes on top. Mix. Perfect. This was just what I was looking for tonight: nothing TexMex and nothing with cream of ... soup. Thanks!

I'm not sure what in the world I did wrong. The rice certainly didn't cook in the time that the recipe suggested. So, I covered the mixture and simmered it until the rice was done. It made a TON. I also had to keep adding more moisture in order for the instant rice to cook. Because of the added water, the taste became watered down so I added a can of diced tomatoes. The kids wouldn't touch it, but I thought it tasted alright.

I thought this was okay, hubby really liked it. The only thing I did differently was to use 6 strips of turkey bacon instead of regular.

I thought this was really good, but just a tad too sweet for me. I will try a different BBQ sauce next time. I also gave my co-worker some and he came back for seconds!

I am willing to try this again, some day way into the future. I am not sure what went wrong with this recipe for me, but it seemed as thought it was WAY too much rice or not near enough water. I was very disappointed with my results! I would rather eat a cheap box of Hamburger Helper than this.

My family enjoyed it. I thought the BBQ sauce was what really gave it the flavor. I would try using a little more water or turning the heat down to low and letting it really simmer to fix the crunchy rice problem. My rice was just a little undercooked, but after letting it set for a few minutes with the lid on it softened up fine. It comes together very fast, so it's a good go-to recipe if your short on time. I'll make this again.

Great recipe. This was super easy to make and really inexpensive. I did add a little extra cheese & bacon. What a fun twist on bacon cheeseburgers...I will make this again!

Sorry, I didnt like this at all. The BBQ sauce overpowers all the other flavors, the bacon doesnt fit in with everything else and the dish is pretty unattractive. Will not be making again.

My whole family loved this recipe, which is saying something because I rarely ever find anything everyone loves. This was great bc everyone could add their own personal touches. I left out the pickle, my dad added extra mustard,a dn my mom added olives.

Me and my husband gave this recipe a try and thought it was terrible. Our 2 year old didnt even eat it. It just tasted like rice with bbq sauce poured over it. Way to sweet and 5 mins wasnt long enough for the rice to cook it was still hard. Definatly won't try this one again!

Great recipe. We make it all the time. I do put more BBQ sauce in than it asks. I use about a cup of it and add a little more cheese and pickles on the top than it asks for.

This is amazingly good! I was a little wary at first, and I did omit the pickle, but the taste was still fantastic. I was just looking for a quick new idea with some hamburger I had left and this is a new family favorite! My husband absolutely loved it and he is so picky! My kids liked it as well, and they rarely like anything either! I would recommend this recipe, it's is a wonderful surprise!!

The first time I made this we didn't love the flavor of the BBQ sauce, so the next time I made it I used ketchup instead, and substituted 3/4 cup of the water with pickle juice, Delish!!!!
