Very easy and quick meal. I used onion rings instead of sliced onion.

This was a childhood favorite and I still make it when I need a quick "whats for dinner" night. My addition to this is to spead the toast with Miracle Whip for a bit of extra tang.

These were tasty and fun! I followed mis7up and made these into sandwiches on toasted buns. I've never had anything like this before, but hubby did, so I thought I'd try it...I was pleasantly surprised. Everything really went together well. I don't think I could eat this all the time, but it's great for something different every so often! Thanks for sharing. :)

when I saw this I knew I had to make it. But not thinking when I made this into a burger sammie and not toast with the fixings...so please forgive me. But the guys ate them up. I had part of one and it was really good. The guys ate several and the girls only ate one a piece. They were so keen on the idea, but did eat any extra. I didn't think anything wrong with them. I thought it was a nice quick fix meal with out heavy meat. I'd soo add more bacon and totally keep them as a burger sammie verses on top of toast as an open sandwich...because the recipe's name says "sandwiches" And that's the way I made them. ;-)

My mom made these when I was growing up and my grandma made them for her when she was growing up. They sound gross, but they are sooooo yummy. We use cheddar cheese instead of American!

When I was a kid I made this very same sandwich--beans, onions, cheese on toast. I usually ate it with a knife and fork. Sometimes I added mustard and/or ketchup. Thanks for the memories! I'll definitely be making this one again.
