I agree with JED901. This is more of a method, than a recipe....but a great method that can be used in many ways. I prepared 3 racks for the 4th of July (yesterday)...my first time using this "method". I first just cut the membrane on the back between each bone (much easier);then wrapped each 1/2 rack in heavy foil with a little beer, some white onion pieces and Old Country Deli "Rib Round UP" (only available on line. Baked in oven at 300 for 3 hours. Brushed on Rays BBQ sauce (lightly) and put on BBQ for 5 minutes each. They disappeared upon serving.....the meat fell of of the bone and were the hit of the party.

great method, only thing i suggest is to flip them over and peel the membrane off of them before you cook them, even more "fall off the bone" also in the oven cook them meaty side down, and the last 15 minutes take them out of the foil and put more sauce on them and either, cook them on the grill for 15min or so or on broil for 15 minutes....bomp chicka bow wow!

We have made this twice using both Bull's Eye and Sweet Baby Ray's (my preference). We slather sauce on a Costco pack of ribs, vac seal them separately and stick them in the freezer. That way all you have to do is pull them out the morning you plan to cook them and remember to put them in the oven three hours before dinner time! We followed the recipe (we did grill them at the end of 2 1/2 hrs baking) and they were absolutely delicious. I order ribs whenever we eat out, and these rival restaurant quality.

The best ribs I have ever tasted, very tender ! I put "Adams Rib Rubb" on them the night before and let them marinade for about 15 hours. Right before I put them in the oven I added some Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce. Broiled for about 7 minutes after baking. The only rib recipe I will use from now on !!

It's best to use DOUBLE heavy duty foil and put on a cookie sheet or large pan before baking in oven. Definitely the best way to fix ribs. Very tender!

This is an excellent recipe for beginners. I prefer my homemade sauce and I also mnaranade them overnight in it. I first pierce each rib with a fork before covering them in sauce. I turn them often to make sure none of the meat gets missed. Then I line the broiler pan with foil and place them in the oven. About half way through cooking I turn them over so that the opposite side gets browned. About 10 minutes before taking them out of the oven I add more sauce. I make sure the lemon water is ready when I take them out. Lemon water makes cleaning your hands and face easy.

Turned out great and so easy to make. Used a dry rub on them and let them marinate overnight and baked them without the sauce. Added the sauce when I threw them on the grill for a couple of minutes. A keeper!

This was a nice alternative to the way we usually make our ribs. Normally we boil them for 45 minutes, then grill with some sauce. I thought this way would be a little less work with clean-up. I always hate washing that giant dutch oven. I followed the recommendation to use the rub by Cathy M., which can be found in the reviews below, and it was very good. The only issue I had was when I put them on the grill to carmelize the barbeque sauce, the bottoms got burned because of all the grease. So if you use this method, be sure to watch the ribs closely on the grill. I didn't use the foil like I should have. Next time I make ribs again, I'll more than likely use this method again.

I think if I make these again I would put them on the grill to finish them off after baking. Also, sure wish I had read the reviews ahead of time and either used heavy duty foil or put a pan underneath them while in the oven. I just spent half an hour last night scrubbing my oven. These WILL leak!! My husband and mother loved these, but I thought they were just OK.

The idea is great but I the BBQ sauce that I picked didn't work out for my tastebuds. Will definitely try again. The meat was juicy and fallen right off the bones as promised.

The meat literally fell right off the bones. I had no idea how to make ribs before. People told me you needed to boil them 1st. What a pain that would be. This worked out perfectly. Next time... I will use a pork spice rub & I will wait to put the BBQ sauce on until I open up the foil packets. Then I will throw them on the grill for 15-20 minutes. No mess:) YUM!

Made these for my son's birthday cookout. Oh My God!! These were incredible!! Better than some restaurants. I used Kraft original BBQ sauce, cooked in foil packets in a 250 degree oven for 4 hours while we set up for the party. Hour later threw them on the grill w/a little fresh BBQ sauce to heat back up. Fell off the bone, finger licking good!!!

Nothing wrong with using bottled BBQ sauce, just use good brand...I used Jack Daniels. I did change the method of cooking the ribs after much researching. No marinating necessary!! I preheated oven to 300, then lined a 9x13" pan with foil (for easy clean up). I coated ribs with BBQ sauce top and bottom and layed in pan. Then I covered the pan tightly with foil (My pan was deep enough that the foil wasn't touching the ribs at all). I baked my ribs for 2 hours and 15 minutes total. After one hour I flipped them. Then after the second hour I flipped them back over and left them uncovered for the last 15 minutes to brown a little. I basted the ribs about 3 times the entire time. They came out super juicy and falling off the bone!!

This was the first time I ever made ribs. This recipe was so simple and worth the time to cook them slowly for tenderness. I did not marinade my ribs in barbeque sauce for 8 hours, like suggested due to time. I simply grilled the ribs first for about 20 minutes total over low heat. Then I made the foil packs and put a bit of sauce over the ribs before wrapping them up. Then popped into a 275* oven for 2 hours. They were falling off the bone tender. Delicious!

My fiance was craving Outback Steakhouse Baby backs so instead of eating out I wanted to give it a shot. I didn't have time to marinate overnight but it was still so yummy! I just broiled it for a few mins at the end to get it sticky. Thanks for a simple but great recipe! :)
