I tried this recipe for Father's day. I knew it was going to be difficult to win over the seasoned rib eaters in my family, but my dad commented that these were the best he has ever eaten! I didn't have plum sauce so I omitted it. Otherwise, stick to the recipe and you will not be disappointed! I will DEFINITELY make these time and time again!

I've cooked my ribs this way for years. The only thing I do different is that I use either pineapple or apple juice instead of water. I also don't use 5 cups, just enough to fill the bottom of the slow cooker.

This was delicious. The meat fell off the bone so well that it made it hard for me to even get it out of the crock-pot. I didn't grill but used bbq sauce and regular sugar, as I didn't have any brown sugar, and stuck it in the over as suggested by others. Very good! Will make this again.

These fell right off the bone....I used Sweet Rays Honey Barbecue sauce and these were seriously the best ribs I have ever had! I slow cooked the ribs for 5 hours, and I did not use Plum Sauce. I sprinkled some brown sugar with the bbq sauce on the ribs and broiled them for 6 minutes each side before grilling.

These turned out so moist and tender! I think slow cooking them with the onion etc really added more flavor to the meat then just adding bbq sauce alone! Definately a summer FAVE!

These were the best ribs I have had. We followed advice from others and shortened the cooking time to 5 hours and they fell off of the bone. We will be making these again!

This recipe was great. I used the oven method at 325 like someone suggested rather than grilling as it is getting a bit cold. I used 1/2 cup BBQ sauce and 1/4 cup rasberry chiptotle sauce since didn't have plum sauce at home. Terrific!

Nice, tender ribs and very easy to make but not quite enough flavour for me. Prefer a stronger BBQ taste.

These were the best ribs I've ever had - at home or out. We'll double the recipe from now on. For simplicity's sake, I replaced the plum sauce w/ more bbq sauce and omitted the hot sauce. I mixed Stubbs spicy and smokey mesquite bottled sauces for great flavor.

I used this recipe but changed a few things. The ribs come fall-off-the-bone delicious. I followed the first part but found the ribs tender in 4 hours -maybe because I accidentally had the slow cooker on high! After that I poured out the water and added some Jack Daniels mesquite bbq sauce, I left them on low for about 30 minutes and then grilled for a few minutes. Make sure the grill is well oiled and be very gentle with the ribs. The meat will fall right off the bone! I heard mmm mmm moaning (from myself and others) while eating these!

These ribs are the best with a few simple changes. 1) Don't cook the ribs for the full 6 hours - they'll be falling off the bone by 41/2 to 5. 2) Make sure you're using a really good barbeque sauce - If you don't love the sauce, you won't love the ribs. In this recipe it's all about the sauce. 3)I didn't add the other ingrediants to my barbeque sauce - I thought the plum sauce would make it to sweet. Enjoy!!

Absolutely awesome for ease and taste. I followed the recipe but instead of grilling, I finished ribs in the oven at 325 with my favorite bottled BBQ sauce, Sweet Baby Rays for about 30-40 mins. Fantastic way to cook ribs and I will make these again. Thanks for sharing!

Very good. Cooked ribs earlier in the day. Doubled the BBQ recipe, poured over the ribs and refrigerated them until ready to grill.

These were absolutely the best ribs ever! Took then out of the cooker when I got home, grilled them for 5-10 mins, then started to base them with the BBQ sauce for another 5-10 mins. Fall off the bone. Didn't have any peppers but it did not need them! Try them. You won't go back to the old fashioned broil and baste!

All I can say is WOW. Used 1 cup of red wine instead of one of the cups of water. Also used bottled BBQ sauce with honey rather than mix my own. Enough for pulled pork sandwiches tomorrow!
