DIRECTIONS
Place the ribs in a 5-qt. slow cooker. Add the water, onion, celery, 1 teaspoon garlic and peppercorns. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or until meat is tender.
In a small saucepan, combine the barbecue sauce, plum sauce, hot pepper sauce and remaining garlic. Cook and stir over medium heat for 5 minutes or until heated through. Remove ribs. Discard cooking juices and vegetables.
Coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray before starting the grill. Brush ribs with sauce. Grill, uncovered, over medium-low heat for 8-10 minutes or until browned, turning occasionally and brushing with remaining sauce.

As I started to make this all I heard my husband say is this isn't going to be good, now all I hear is when am I going to make them again. The meat was so tender and tasty. I did not grill after just put in the oven with barbarque sauce. Perfect. I am only here to look up the recipe again so I can make them today. Thank you!

Amazing ribs! These end up being so tender that they will fall right off the bone. My husband had a hard time putting them on the grill without them falling apart. Not a bad problem to have in my opinion! I just used regular BBQ sauce to baste with while grilling and didn't add any plum sauce. One of the best things about this recipe is that I already had everything on hand and didn't have to make any special trips to the store. This will be our new baby back rib recipe!

My husband loves ribs and because the sauce here really compliments the flavorful meat, this recipe is by far and away his favorite. It is one of my favorite weekend meals beause it is quick, easy and makes enough that I can enjoy minimum cooking time. I usually double the meat, keeping the spices close to the same amount, and cut the water by a cup or so. Great recipe.

These were the best ribs I've ever had - at home or out. We'll double the recipe from now on. For simplicity's sake, I replaced the plum sauce w/ more bbq sauce and omitted the hot sauce. I mixed Stubbs spicy and smokey mesquite bottled sauces for great flavor.

I used this recipe but changed a few things. The ribs come fall-off-the-bone delicious. I followed the first part but found the ribs tender in 4 hours -maybe because I accidentally had the slow cooker on high! After that I poured out the water and added some Jack Daniels mesquite bbq sauce, I left them on low for about 30 minutes and then grilled for a few minutes. Make sure the grill is well oiled and be very gentle with the ribs. The meat will fall right off the bone! I heard mmm mmm moaning (from myself and others) while eating these!

These ribs are the best with a few simple changes. 1) Don't cook the ribs for the full 6 hours - they'll be falling off the bone by 41/2 to 5. 2) Make sure you're using a really good barbeque sauce - If you don't love the sauce, you won't love the ribs. In this recipe it's all about the sauce. 3)I didn't add the other ingrediants to my barbeque sauce - I thought the plum sauce would make it to sweet. Enjoy!!

Absolutely awesome for ease and taste. I followed the recipe but instead of grilling, I finished ribs in the oven at 325 with my favorite bottled BBQ sauce, Sweet Baby Rays for about 30-40 mins. Fantastic way to cook ribs and I will make these again. Thanks for sharing!

Very good. Cooked ribs earlier in the day. Doubled the BBQ recipe, poured over the ribs and refrigerated them until ready to grill.
