I also added one package of cream cheese. I also used the real bacon bits from the bag and it tasted very salty, I recomend frying the bacon and crumbling it your self, it's a major taste difference and worth it!!

This is sinfully good! Try it, you'll be shocked how eerily this does taste like a BLT. I honestly wasn't expecting it out of a dip and it surprised me. It was gone within minutes at my superbowl party.

My husband and I made this for our annual Superbowl eating fest and it really does taste like a BLT. Thanks for a great recipe that I will definitely make again!

I made this for a pot luck lunch for work today. I took one of the suggestions given in a review to add the cream cheese & the shredded cheese (I used sharp cheddar) & baked it. It was a huge hit, everyone loved it. Thanks for a great recipe.

Very good dip that does taste like a BLT! I added some sliced green onion and a bit of ms. dash. I had a friend serve this dip on top of tomato slices, and that was delicious. I think I will try it warm with the added cream cheese. This is a very versatile recipe!

We LOVE bacon, so this was a perfect recipe for our family. Letting the tomatoes drain well ahead of time on a paper towel was definitely a good idea to keep this dip nice and thick.

Definitely should have put in the full pound of bacon. Six strips was just not enough! Followed other reviewers' suggestions about the tomato, to good effect. Next time will try using low-fat mayo and turkey bacon to cut back on the fat content. Also, will cut the tomato pieces smaller for ease of dipping. Still, it did taste exactly like a BLT, and my guests loved it!

Loved this dip! I served it with garlic pita chips. I used one 14oz can of petite diced tomatoes drained very well because tomatoes aren't in season here. I also used two 3oz. packages of Oscar Mayer real bacon pieces instead of cooking raw bacon because I can never cook it just perfect. Turned out fabulously!

Made this for superbowl. Everyone loved it! I used another reviewers advice and added 8 oz creamcheese, "I used fat free." and 2 cups cheddar cheese. I then sprinkled cheddar cheese, bacon, and tomato on top. Then baked it. Ate with fritos.

I fixed this for the first time during the Super Bowl. I prepared several hours before so the flavor would really set in, also I cut the Tomatoes up and stored in a baggie than mixed in just before serving. It was a huge hit, 2 days later it was still great. If you want a simple recipe I suggest this one.

Instead of making bacon, I used packaged turkey bacon bits. In addition, I added dry ranch powder. Definitely store in the fridge for at least an hour to really bring out the ranch and bacon flavors. I added quartered, seeded, and drained grape tomatoes right before serving so they stay fresh.

I made this on a whim for a Superbowl party yesterday..used canola mayo, light sour cream, bacon and diced canned tomatoes with chiles. It was OK..the mayo was a bit overpowering and needless to say, no one really ate it. I appreciate the convenience of the recipe, but probably won't make it again.

MADE FOR THE SUPER BOWL...MY HUSBAND LOVED IT!! I USED ROMA TOMATOES SO DIDN'T HAVE PROBLEM WITH TOMATOES- I THOUGHT IT WAS WAY TOO MAYO TASTING- I WOULD LIKE TO EXPERIMENT WITH IT AND I THINK IT WOULD BE BETTER MADE VERY EARLY OR NIGHT BEFORE SO THE FLAVORS COULD MARRY BETTER- I THINK THAT IS THE REASON FOR THE EXTREME MAYO TASTE- NEXT TIME I WANT TO PUT IT IN THE HAWAIIAN LOAF (MMMMM.. LOVE THAT STUFF) AS ANOTHER SUGGESTED AND MAYBE CUT A LITTLE MAYO AND ADD CREAM CHEESE AS ANOTHER SUGGESTED-- ALL AND ALL A GOOD RECIPE-

I took some suggestions from other reviews and used 4 oz. cream cheese, 1 cup sour cream, and 1 cup mayo. Then added half packet of ranch dip mix. Chopped bacon before cooking, then put on foil-lined cookie sheet and cooked it in oven, worked out well this way. Chopped even finer after it cooled. Added bacon and onion powder to the mix. Good with or without adding the tomatoes. Stored in refrigerator overnight. Served with Toppers multi-grain crackers. Everyone liked it.

This recipe is good, but it does need some additional flavor and time to let the flavors meld. I added two chopped green onions, garlic powder, and some dry ranch dressing mix. When I tested it immediately after mixing, I couldn't taste much of the bacon. After letting it sit in the fridge for an hour- it tastes much better. We served this with cocktail pumpernickel bread.
